I have to agree with everybody else on this...go with a black dress, firstly they're easy to come by. You can find a nice classy black dress just about anywhere. Then you just add a colourful heel/jewelry/handbag/clutch ect. Black is timeless, not boring. It's very chic and classy. I'd recommend a light color for a dress - imagine a field of wheat, but more yellow. Now you have the color. The dress should have minimal features or added lines.. it should be simple. From there you can chose anything off-yellow and uncomplicated by added lines. Don't be flashy. Choose fabic that flows/hangs well. From there you'll be perceived as marvelous.
