Sorry for late reply.. I didn't use flounder for this recipe .. so I can't tell how it will be like.. but.. I tried.. haddock.. whiting fish.. and combination of haddock and halibut. I liked the combination most..and haddock was second..and whiting fish was my least favorite...
I feel comfortable with good bible verse at the end of the video and its very thoughtful that you are going out of your way to accomodate others. I feel that is somewhat uplifting to have them on your videos because it sends a positive message to people who are open to new things even if its biblical.
@AcousticSeoul I'm sorry but I never said I was 'offended'. If Aeri wants to practice Christianity, good for her & she has every right to.I simply gave feedback on how I felt and how it could make ppl w/ other religions feel a bit comfortable. I believe viewers have every right to express this as her site is after all for her viewers.I felt that you were very rude in saying 'stick out of ur ass.' W/e Aeri decides, it's ultimately her choice since its her site whether her viewers like it or not.
I'll be trying this tonight with tilapia - hope it tastes as good as yours! Any recommendations on what to serve this with - is there a dipping sauce that goes well with this?
Thanks so much for all your recipes - I've made some seriously yummy food following your tutorials!
oops.. too late answer for you.. sorry.. did you try it yet.. if you did I hope you enjoyed it.. you can eat it with rice and other side-dishes.. or you can just eat it plain as a snack without others.. it's good enough to eat without sauce..but if you want.. maybe.. soy sauce.. mixed with a little bit of vinegar and water.. ^^
Thank you for the recipe Aeri but I find that putting bible verses in your videos or your cooking website makes non-Christians very uncomfortable when getting recipes. I understand you are Christian and you like to practice and express it but I feel that as a cooking website for people around the world, it is best not to impose your religion on users just like Maangchi does. Recipes should be separate from religious beliefs. Please cater to those of other religions or non-believers. Thanks
@koreatastic I think the fact that you took time to say that it would be an imposition shows that you are bothered by the bible verse a bit though i wouldn't know why? So I would have to agree with acousticseoul on this one... plus shouldn't your feedback be about the food rather than something trivial such as a simple bible verse?
Thank you for your opinion.. if I felt you were rude.. or just tried to attack me.. i wouldn't reply to you..but i can feel that you just wanted to tell your honest feeling and opinion... so I appreciate it. I didn't mean anything to make somebody feel uncomfortable with the bible verse.. just sad about the fact..bible verse make somebody uncomfortable.. as i share delicious Korean recipes with others.. i wanted to share good bible verses with others too..
As you can see.. some of my subscribers like to read the bible verse i added..and even mentioned she needed it.. the reason i put the bible verse after finishing the cooking part is.. that way.. if somebody doesn't want to read.. they can stop watching the video.after i read your comment. thought of it more.. because as I said I don't want to make others uncomfortable.. but at the same time.. I think I and other people who like it has freedom or right to see that too.
Ur channel has been around for few yrs now&so far, I have never read anyone making a complaint like thisb4.If he/she find it so IMPOSING&has the time to post the SAME moaning complaint THREE TIMES,I have a suggestion for he/she.STOP imposing YOUR views&thoughts onto others. Fine, just don't watch, make ur own channel&video.Nobody else seem to have a problem. If u find seeing some BV on a YOUTUBE video so "imposing",omg I wonder how u deal with things like ppl named "Barak Hussain Obama".PC crap..
I will add the bible verse after i tell "Thank you for watching.. see you soon again.." so if you don't want to read..and other people don't want to read it.. you can stop the video before the bible verse shows up.. it is fair enough for everybody ?? I read some comments you got about your opinion.I hope you didn't feel too bad.I wasn't happy happy either with your comment..but I respect your opinion.. just we are all different. thanks again
@aeriskitchen:Hi Aeri, ignore koreatatic's comment. It's ur channel&UR videos. U have the right to do whatever u want. U have the right to wear a pink top, or a blue top. U have the right to wear nail polish. U have the right to not wear a nail polish. Just cos u are eg) wearing a pink nail polish, does it mean u r "imposing" onto viewers the need to wear nail polish? No. It's ur video, so ur expressing something that is part of who u r. It's called freedom of speech!
thanks for your message.. as I replied to Koreatastic.. he or she wasn't rude or anything.. so.. I was okay.. just had to think of..what is the best for all.. anyway.. thank you very much for your message.. made me smile with your example.. cute !! I like that part.. pink top... lol.. love ya ~~
@Babybobgirl I think Aeri handled it well. It really is her own show. But I don't think koreatatic needs to be bashed. I have a lot of Atheist friends and this is a COOKING channel so people want to come and see just that and maybe learn about Korean cultures. Religion is so in your face everywhere I think she felt uncomfortable. Anyway, I loved the fish cake recipe. Thanks so much Aeri!
Yes I do think Aeri has graciously handled it well. May I just comment on something though: We seem to live in a world and age in our Western society where strangely, anything MILDLY related to christianity is deemed alright to be BASHED.We just all seem to get sensitive&go,"Ah oh- here's religious krap again. Allergic stuff!". Have u noticed that it's not so much for other beliefs/ideas etc? Why is it that it's common to say, "jesus Christ!",or"OMG!",but nobody says"Buddah!" or "Oh my Allah!"?
@sabrinamom:if Aeris had chosen to place some proverb around Karma/Buddhism, would anyone have flinched? Why? I wonder if ppl would go to a YT channel on say, Thai cooking, where ppl start the show with their hands clasped together with a bow& say "namasti" and complain saying, "I find ur gestures rooted in Buddhism offensive." ?! Aethism is a view. Buddhism is a view.Same goes for Hindusim and Christianity etc.& guess what. We all have a right to express FREELY what we think, part of who we r.
@sabrinamom: yes this is a cooking show&yes it is made by a Korean girl, who happens to have Christianity as her belief. She is the director and the actor. She has the right to express part of who she is. A Jewish director may make a film that expresses his views. Same for an aethiest who refuses to be associated with anything related to religion.I've seen YT cooking videos made by Transgender ppl&nobody comments on their costume/dialogue etc. Ppl just accept it.Why can't we do the same for Aeri?
@Babybobgirl i absolutely agree.. i dont know why ppl easily offended with Christianity.. while if the words of wisdom come from other sources they accept it easily. it's not like Aeri wants to "DRAG" all her viewers to be Christian... she just shares some wisdom words..maybe someone out there needs it... like me.. I just lost my job.. and I found comfort in the words that shared. thank u for sharing.
Thank you that is such an easy recipe to follow. My mom made fish cakes but couldn't teach me. I guess you can try it with salmon my favorite fish, Tilapia Fillets. Did you show how to make Kimchi pancakes?
Reminds me of Salmon Cakes... looks good Thank you for putting the Psalms in your video...interesting that did more for me than the cooking. Thank you so much that was definitely a NEEDED surprise!
