  • Two years and no robot apocalypse? Pick up the pace, Japan!

  • What this song?

  • lol on cracked.

Cause the first thing you want to see after being buried in rubble while your still scared and confused is a giant robot knocking cars out of the way.

  • Cracked wuz here

  • If someone ever makes this thing unmanned and programs, a learning, A.I into this thing. God help us all.

  • Gundam- 00000000001

cant wait for the next model :)

  • All of that when you could have just opened the door. :(

  • So how long until Gundams?

  • if it can go way faster its the first gundam

  • Japan: Savin' lives in style.

  • beats using airbags to clear debris!

  • Shouldn't the operator be sitting inside of it?

  • @dahbombman Then it would be the Alien movie's Powerloader :P

  • @dahbombman there's another guy inside

  • Sooooooooooo slow! Humans and dozers could clear a site10 times faster than this. The only situation where this would be beneficial would be in a nuclear catastrophe where operators could be underground controlling it.

  • need more progress to increase slow frictions accelerator...but it's an trial anyway..and i've ever reading the comic book versions of these thing. the comic book was titled : D-LIVE !!

  • Its not to slow if its applied to a situation that is too dangerous for a manual rescue. Burning car, house, chemical spill etc

    Slow is better then nothing.

  • Right now, that'd be a useless machine, until it's speed is vastly improved.

  • to slow, but maybe a faster version in development. :p

but why do asian robots always look like a cartoon.. :p

  • Sooner or later we'll have Gundams :)

  • all we need is Votoms son, keep your gundams.

  • Holy shit! I hope that don't put HAL in that thing....

  • what is this monstrosity?

  • People looking for mecha should see the John Deere tractor company that made a working hexapod for logging

Also the Hal 5 powered exoskeleton

  • Cmon guys, it's in it's infancy. You can hardly expect it to pick up the car and toss it away like a piece of paper. This is the problem, so many people judge the present instead of seeing the potential of something like this.

  • look at cars, when the stanely steamer putted onto its first road people were all like "WTF would you need to go outside of the state for?"

Now look at us, how many of you drive more than 20 miles to get to work?

And how long does it take you?

Back in the early 1900's, it took people 1.5 hours to ride and 5 hours to walk it....now i can get from here to 20 miles away in under 6 minutes if i want to.

Things take time....nothing wrong with that either

  • @xeronicus dude thats like 200 miles an hour, what car do you drive?

  • @Gregoryxlz

    Nope 135 actually,

I USED to drive an 04 GTI, but i drive a scirocco and a gsxr 750 now.

135 was every bit of do-able in that VW I had.

  • @xeronicus 20miles per 6min X 10 = 200miles per 60min lol

  • @Gregoryxlz

    Whoops!

My math was a bit off, but still my point was how fast we could get from point to point, my gsxr could do the trip.....But i wouldn't want to try it on it.

So If you did 145 you could pull 20 miles in 8 minutes.

  • Very fast..... I think men could do it better....

  • Pretty good for situations where the debree is dangerous. I like that it moved the railroad track with ease. Rails weigh as little as 30 lbs per foot - to 45 lbs per foot. So a 10 ft length was probably a little less than 500 pounds. I like the fact that it has hand-like controls.

Will be great when it responds quicker to the operator.

  • by the time it uncovers u ur dead

  • It's not a rescue vehicle in your sense of the word you ignoramuses. It's meant to clear a path for rescue workers. Before you comment on something do a bit of research, and maybe other countries will stop thinking Americans are a bunch of beer-fed, overweight morons.

  • @DiamonteLeingod I assumed it was to act as a mobile jaws-of-life apparatus when I first saw pictures of it. But besides that, how could anyone think it was meant to physically/directly rescue people? Look at those claws!

  • on a time to die ^ ^

  • I'm so glad this is a "Hyper" rescue model. A spasmodic rescue robot on ritalin is exactly what I want to rescue me from all my many accidents. It just can't sit still, it most rescue something!

  • Did it just rip the door off the car? that's pretty cool.

  • So twenty years after the film, someone makes a crap slow version of the robot thing from Aliens. Wow.

  • And still no lightsabers! How dare scientists work at a realistic pace?

  • Fenomenal, sin palabras

  • lol. the guy inside will already be dead when this thing open the door

  • im pretty sure this is a prototype ya buncha morons

  • aw its so slow when will gonna be rescued????

  • lol and how long is it gonna take before it gets to the scene of the accident..

  • what a waste of money and time, sorry, but people are starting to become to fucking lazy just to move that stuff, instead, lets pay a thousand of something that is slower, and could kill the person inside....

  • By the time that that thing rescues me, I'll be a pile of flesh-stripped bones.

  • yeah, give them a couple years and we'll see Mazinga Z in action loool

  • lol crazy japs

  • took long enough

  • Hmmm... I'm not sure I could ever trust anything with 'T-(number)' for a name.

  • Yeah.. i'm sure that people will try to get the hell out of the buildings ASAP when they hear that thing coming.

  • EVEN IN DEATH I SERVE

  • too slooow. i hope i'll never be recsue by a thing like that.. i prefer to die in a better way

  • damn, might have to take a nap while i am getting rescued...

  • So darn slow.

  • yea iv noticed that too i would have never noticed except for the jeans.

  • А лазерами он пуляет ???

  • Think about it this way... a robot of that size once new versions come out can help lift heavy objects out of the way, ie boulders blocking mine openings, rip off doors from collapsed vehicles in accidents... i agree about the speed but its all in R+D departments to make things better over time... its pretty cool

  • looks useless

  • I want to see it do the robot.

    rofl

  • That was pretty neat, saves time when a bunch of stuff falls on something.

  • Shit sorry, that was meant to be a thumbs up.

  • Yah I think the people in the car would be dead by now
