I too am hoping that we'll see what happens before MMX. Zero was built to kill the original Rockman. Meaning we'll get the chance to fight him? If so, then this HAS to be the game. What became of Wily, Light, Protoman, Duo etc? Hopefully this game will tie up alot of loose ends. Don't be surprised if capcom disappoints us.

Everybody, Please be easy on me. I know this is not about MegaMan, but MegaMan X7 and X8?! The whole sypnosis of these two games are so linear. And what frustrates me is MMX8 left off where Axl was knocked unconscience and leaving the whole X series a cliffhanger. But I just adore the old school MegaMan. HE SO ADORABLE! However, I wish Capcom would make a series mainly on Bass/Forte. I would love to know the history on Bass. He's my fave. I WANT MORE BASS!!!
As for the ending in Megaman X8, it was directed by none other than M. Night Shyamalan!! HAHAHA just kidding. Who knows a Megaman X9 perhaps? wait and see. . . .
mega man 3 was rushed as inafune said in an interview recently pulled off from the internet. i hope mm9 will not have slide or anything ridiculous. it should play just like mega man 2. i don't think it will match or top mega man 2 in music.
I'm hoping its a decent game. There will be so many people looking to turn this title into mincemeat. The journalistic people I've seen have turned super jaded against older games.
So the only way to fight this is to keep talking about the game, and if it is even half decent, buy it. If it is anywhere near deserving, every fan of old school gaming should get it.
Good sales numbers tend to muffle the sounds from the critics who are already trying to write off this game.
It's about time someone besides me and a FEW of my friends believe Capcom should do what they gotta do. I'm a HUGE megaman fan, but I'm really hoping that this is an instant classic like Megaman 2 was, if not really close to it. All that aside. I'd rather it was like MMX8 with the 3D side scrolling action.
Also, I think it is a little rude to have him get killed off by Zero. Megaman moving to Duo's home planet to fight for intergalactic peace and never returning to Earth sounds like a more legendary ending for the Blue Bomber.
Megaman 9 needs to go deeper in the story of DUO because Mega's ending might possibly be linked to his since Duo is from another planet.
I may sound a little crazy, but I think if this is Megaman's last original game, the story might end with Dr. Light sending Mega to Duo's home planet VIA spaceship to help him out thus explaining Mega's departure and reason why he never appeared in the X series.
I don't think there is anything wrong with the milking the original Megaman series since there was never closure for the little blue guy. They might have to reveal what happens to all the original characters prior to the beginning of Megaman X.
Now thats heart to heart for a Megaman fan right there, I'm adding this vid on my favs. Well give ya a heads up, if ya find any Megaman 9 screenshot leakage, don't buy it because somebody already debunked it (it's fake). HOWEVER THOUGH, Capcom state that they will make a Megaman 9. LONG LIVE THE BLUE BOMBER!!!
Capcom has to do this with real care. And i hope its still stick with 2.5D they should not try no stupidness like 3D or make it into a first person shooter.I wont mind it coming out on the PS3 and Xbox 360 but i think its going ot be on the WII. I really hope the game is handled with care becasue if not the megaman as a whole is over ;( because thats the original.

From what a read from comments of other MM9 vids it comes down to this.
Megaman fans in their 20s and 30s are hyped for MM9.
Younger games on the other hand are laughing at it.

I was going to say that 3d worked for Legeneds and X7 (Well mixed reviews I liked it) 2.5d is a more stable route thou.

I hope they really explore the power of physics with this game. Have more destructible environments. They should make the graphics great as well.
It better not be too easy to, I hope it's on par with the classics in terms of difficulty, otherwise it'll be extremely short.
Do you think they'll use full CGI cut scenes or stick to the animation?

Knowing Capcom resently its going to be mostly animation with a few CGI cut scenes in the Begening and Ending like with ZX and ZXA.
