Great to see this. I would go to CR every Sunday morning. Have not been back for 10 years since I left the country but how amazing, it is still as it was.
I agree with liz prior -- you've done a really good job of relating the feel of the place and it seems a very refreshing outing, although I have an angiush for the cutting of flowers which sends me down the rabbit hole -- "oh, how beautiful the flowers are -- let's kill them!" -- lol
@liz1060 I know what you mean...like me saying...as I do...how cute...to little lambs....then eat them !! We do this sort of thing all the time...Still....the essence of this vid is...the lively thing that still lives on in London Markets in the East End...They have a different vibe to other markets..
You have created such a 3D picture of the area in my head. I could smell it and feel the crowd jostling me and they pushed past. I could feel the sun on my head and the softness of the greenery. Just lovely - thank you.
I've never seen anything like this before (flower market on the street) how very interesting. Over the years I've worked with florists and discovered the business of flowers is one of the most cut throat industries out there. Funny how the selling of something so beautiful is backed by such ugliness. -Steve-
@OceanTownPictures Cut flowers a cut throat biz...well...nothing is perfect in this world...except the flowers of coarse...they are so enthusiastic and wonderful...!
I love scenes like this reminds me of when I was a wee girl. My mom buying some lovely carnations and me getting to hold them so proudly thinking I was a princess. The pungent aroma of those carnation filled my nostrils. Some one calling me 'deary' or 'luv' as I walked through the market with my mom and dad.
My very favorite market, ta Kristine! xLynne
