I believe that what he meant is that this is not something a President or the Congress can get involved in (the banning of abortion). Yes. If you examine his statements on the subject, he is strongly pro-life. I believe that what he meant is that this is not something a President or the Congress can get involved in (the banning of abortion). That being said (and said poorly here, I grant you), he has stated that he will do everything in his power, consistent with his constitutional authority, to promote a culture of life.

Do you really think raising taxes 5% on the wealthiest 1% is really gonna feed all the poor and cover all the sick? As far as health care, that debate is far more complicated than "liberals want everybody to have health care, conservatives don't."

Many people support the right, yet call themselves pro-life because they wouldn't either have nor agree with somebody having one (hence they are in the closet). You're getting confused when you say "but what about pro-choicers leaning towards pro-life". The only way that would technically be the case is if a pro-choicer may support revoking women's right.
