I love all dogs and grew up up with rottweilers. Many pitbulls are very sweet loving dogs, but don't fool yourself, they are aggressive dogs in nature, nothing will change that! No training will change natural instincts! We owned 4 rottweilers while growing up, and they were all very loving but we also learned very quickly that they aren't dogs that you can take into public without being careful! My dog has been to vet 3 x because of pits, after getting attacked on public trails.

People are banning pits because people who breed them are iresponisable,! You dont breed a dog on its first heat, you dont sell dogs without contracts, what kind of person can say they care about the breed but will sell there pups to anyone with cash in there hand! Its a big problem !

My advice, next time you see or hear of a vicous Pit Bull. Knock on the owner's door and beat him to with inches of his or her life. When they shit themselves beat them a little more and laugh at them. I hate to react with vengeance but it's the only thing these people understand. I have had run into a lot of "bad dogs" but I blame the owner who obviously mistreated to dog.

I can attest to the fact that a pit bull is a gentle, mild creature. Mine died at 11 years old (last year) and she was the sweetest thing ever. She would literally wrap herself around my neck like a scarf and just hang out. Dogs (like humans) adapt to teir environment. Show them love, and that's what you'll get in return.

I have two friends. One has a lab and one has a pitbull, people in our neighborhood are actually more afraid of the lab because she used to jump up and "bite" a lot of people. And the pit bull would never hurt anyone.

Did you know that most people can't even correctly identify an American Pit Bull Terrier? Are you one of them? Just google, "which is the pit bull?" and it will show a link to a website (NYC Pitbull Ban) that has pictures of 20 different breeds and see if you can pick out the American Pit Bull Terrier

That's why the media calls these dogs "Pit Bulls" because they categorize breeds of similar appearance together instead of individually. So of course if you have like 20 different breeds all being called "Pit Bulls" there's going to be significantly more dog attacks by this "one type of dog" then by a cocker spaniel, which is a breed most people can easily identify.

That's part of the problem. Most people can't even identify dog breeds. The laws are ridiculous and end up banning all breeds that even resemble any Bull Terrier type.

I completely agree with you. People nowadays are completely brainwashed, believing everything they see or hear in the media. Have you noticed that you ONLY hear about "Pit Bulls" attacking people, never any other breeds, which I think is a little weird. Did you not see the pictures of the pitbulls with babies and little children? They didn't look like monsters to me. Cocker Spaniels ARE considered more dangerous than a pit.
