@kapwns Not true it has been found that galaxy's are moving away from the center of our universe faster then light. a value of around 1.4 for z (the redshift), you get the required distance of 4,200 megaparsecs(the speed of light). Therefore, any galaxy with a redshift greater than 1.4 is currently moving away from us faster than the speed of light. Hence his failure too find the universal math would have explained this yet he never found it.

OK, try to imagine, we're in 2060, the venus project is working perfectly.
Somebody amerges and says: "We're the (...), and some (...) think they deserve to live as good as we do...they don't, we worked much harder for this, they (...) don't deserve it...".So these people gather a strong support, they travel the land and destroys factories, terrorise people... in a matter of months they would take control and they would create a dictatorship.

Thinking or acting in terms of being better than others, deserving more than them and trying to get power and control (over I don't know what exactly) did happen in communism, it does happen in capitalism and always happened in every culture based on scarcity, where doing all of those things indeed make sense. I agree with Mr Fresco and I support this movement , people have to see movies like this will be. Things can change in the world and we will prove it.

@kapwns Not true it has been found that galaxy's are moving away from the center of our universe faster then light. a value of around 1.4 for z (the redshift), you get the required distance of 4,200 megaparsecs(the speed of light). Therefore, any galaxy with a redshift greater than 1.4 is currently moving away from us faster than the speed of light. Hence his failure too find the universal math would have explained this yet he never found it.

@starknight97 but einstein was a scientist? it was his rejections that helped formed q mechanics. but the galaxy itself isn't traveling at faster than light, its the distance between the galaxies that is expanding. remember the sidewalk analogy, you don't change your pace on the way to the store, its the sidewalk that is exponentially expanding. pennies on a balloon also make for a good analogy.
it may be more "nothing" but it is a different nothing than that which is outside of the universe.

If there's a God (and it's a real possibility) this God is not the "God" described by the Bible, which is the hebrew's God...
Try to pay attention on somethings that God SAID and DID in the Bible and you'll confirm that he is just a myth... like any "God" of ANY primitive people of the past.

yes many things about the bible can be passed as myth but can't the very "idea" of a God? of course it can. if you look at that way, our very existence can be passed as "myth" and demands a creator. the very fact that there is an earth and humans who have these incredibly complex bodies that can barley be understood (and in no way matched) especially when it comes to our brains. its incredibly unfathomable (like a MYTH). . just cause it doesnt sound possible doesnt mean it isnt.

I'm talking about the "God" described in the Bible, twhich is a myth. The hebrews were a people who just wanted to steal lands from other people, and you can even see that the most important thing that "God" promissed to them, was a "land", but this land was already HABITED!
But in the "New Testament" the greatest promisse of the "son of God" (or God as human, as many people believe) was the eternal life..
So, it's like if "God" changed his biggest promise through the time.

Ok but that's a mis interpretation of the bible. 1st of all god's son was not god. But still very much like god. If you read gen. 3:15 you'll find the 1st prophecy and the very purpose of god. The rest of the bible is a fulfillment of that scripture . And that purpose never changes. He might have other prophecies but his ultimate purpose never changes.

See this what I'm saying. We're arguing interpretations. Who knows if god would inspire men to write his word. Yes it leaves room for interpretation but just because WE think its not a good idea doesn't mean god does. YOu believe its not a prophecy and it may not be but I got just as much evidence to prove that it is as I do to prove that it isn't. My point again is either can be possible. So what Jacque says in this video is no reason to dismay GOD. Not religion just god.

The amazing advice the bible contains makes you wonder how in the world they could know those things way back then. If someone were to follow this book happiness is eminent. Even if you just partially follow it you'd be better off. Doesn't mean its true but it definitely works. Nothing is simple And AGAIN nothing can be proven 100%

Actually science ain't doin to good by its own definition of proof. It doesn't have much it can actually "prove". Relatively speaking. My point again , nothing can be ULTIMATELY proven or disproven. So no one can say either one is for sure. NO one can say for sure the bible is wrong or right. It's up to the individual I guess

if you want to prove 2+2=4 then this isnt your conversation. very little might be able to be proven but when it comes to things you cant see or know by experience than it CAN'T be proven. things like how the world came to be, our history. we might come close but the FACT remains that we cannot prove it beyond doubt unless we see or experience it. so AGAIN, the bible cannot be proven or disproven. history as well. there is no right or wrong necessarily. How do you explain people who survived from malfunctioning parachutes. You can't prove that people WILL die from a fall. You can only assume the probability of dying is more likely because of the past.

...statistically speaking you would die 99% of the times. Again, I'm just making up that number, cuz I really didn't do research abuot it...but like I said the point is there are some things we can be sure of in the frame of knowledge we have - light speed is this much, the core of the earth is made of that etc etc- and to embrace a philosophy of "nothing can be proven, nothing can be known" is, for me, a very pointless and dumb one. That kind of thinking doesnt get us anywhere!

I think it's noble of you for mentioning your faults in your arguments. I don't personally take offense to your swearing, I'm just saying that people rarely look upon it with much degree.
I agree with you that we need to be doing something about the situation and not simply sit around pondering philosophical matters. But ultimately Jacque is on the right idea on what needs to be done. If we don't do this, we will all be living in a 1 square meter space in 780 years due to exponential pop growth

-Both dislike capitalism
-Both promised changes to the better
-only one of them really happened and it went horribly wrong(the Mussolini project), why try another one (the Venus project)?
And like I said, the venus project is vurneable, if someone like Mussolini emerges and gathers followers, no one could stop them, so venus project could potencially lead to totalitarian dictatorship. I don't trust it and neither should you!

Its the beginning, they both share. Fascism emerged, when Italy was in a crisis, people lost faith in capitalism and the workers were protesting (kind of what we are seeing now). The governament was afraid that Communists were about to take control, so they started to support Mussolini (promises prosperity), (affcourse its not that suvere now as it was back then, but it can get worse If commies get stronger and more influental the governament might start to support Fresco and ==> Fascism)

OK, try to imagine, we're in 2060, the venus project is working perfectly.
Somebody amerges and says: "We're the (...), and some (...) think they deserve to live as good as we do...they don't, we worked much harder for this, they (...) don't deserve it...".So these people gather a strong support, they travel the land and destroys factories, terrorise people... in a matter of months they would take control and they would create a dictatorship.
I'm not saying this will happen, but it might.

Thinking or acting in terms of being better than others, deserving more than them and trying to get power and control (over I don't know what exactly) did happen in communism, it does happen in capitalism and always happened in every culture based on scarcity, where doing all of those things indeed make sense. If the venus project is working perfectly like you said, there would be no place for such shallow comparative mentality; it just wouldn't be relevant..
