  • So now for Greece, they say it's two steps forward, and then one step backward, do they? Sounds to me like the Lambeth Walk, Deutsche Bank Style, (oops) BundesBank Style, (oops) as we have here, Nazi Style.

They say the Greeks don't work as hard as they do, because they know that work sets you free. Arbeit Macht Frei.

  • When first shown in Germany, the generals laughed, which caused the evil, club footed dwarf of a propaganda minister threw a fit and a half.

  • Yes very funny indeed ...but also very chilling. It must have been frightening for all the rest of the world in the 1930s as Hitler assembled such a huge military machine. Maybe we should try making a new film today for some of our current villains who also seem to be building huge military machines.

  • This makes it even better when British troops sing this on their way to Normandy in 1944..

    See Longest Day film..

  • Anything that mocks those Nazis is hilarious they deserve it, them Jew killing cowards.

  • The first youtube poop!

  • @TehAsploder dammit, I thought I was the only one who thought this...

  • rwaggs62 says: ... to have power to crush them (the populace) if necessary...as Ol' Adolf did to all of Europe.....

Erm.....well, much of Europe yes, but no all of it! - he would have if he could but he couldn't so he didn't......his biggest prize in Europe would have been Great Britain of course, but he didn't quite make it, did he? We, the British, didn't allow him to, and that was more than a year before the USA was forced into WW2 after Pearl Harbor.

  • they wernt funny, they were sinister criminals who didnt give a shit

  • What is all this talk of Nazis? There are no real Nazis - just a few racist Americans who would never have been accepted as members of the Nazi Party: too racist, too radical, and too crazy.

  • @royalcourtier True the Nazi's were not too RACIST or RADICAL or CRAZY...WTF? All the difference between what you describe is better organization and a Depression...Why is it only Americans though? In the UK & other European countries there have been a lot of re looking the RADICALLY RACIAL and CRAZY ways of the nazis.

  • better get used to re-runs, at the very least the USA is about to repeat history as the Nazi nation.

  • And as I always point out in these situations, I'm not even Jewish or black. I just happen to have realized that when Hitler and Goebbels were talking about the "Big Lie", they were hoping nobody would realize they were referring to their own tactics.

  • They expect us to believe that evil is contained in the DNA of people of various racial backgrounds, and not in one's willingness to massacre unarmed civilians, brag about it and then deny it. They want us to think that the actions of a few bankers designates an entire race as subhuman, all to get us into a position where they can torture, interrogate and execute us on a whim. Keep up the satire, youtube. Show the world the Fuhrer has no clothes, and neither do any of his would-be successors.

  • @themysteriouscrumpet What you say about the murder of unarmed civilians is so true...when a leader of a country LIKE HITLER did when one of his 1st acts as leader was to disarm the populace...at the time he was applauded for it but whenever someone wants to disarm a society what they really want to do is to have power to crush them (the populace) if necessary...as Ol' Adolf did to all of Europe and the world... THANK GOD for the U.S.A.'s 2nd amendment...

  • @rwaggs62 Personally, I wonder how it is they pull it off in Switzerland. There, everyone is required BY LAW to keep a firearm in their house, yet the amount of people who die or get injured because of firearms annually is literally almost non-existant. Enviable statistics, wouldn't you say?

  • @themysteriouscrumpet TRUE...the fact is when a bad person knows you have something to protect yourself with they are often more likely to keep moving...great fact about Switzerland ...

  • @rwaggs62 It also helps that with Switzerland's consistently stable economy, petty crime and incidents of things such as break-ins that are often motivated by desparation are exceedingly rare.

  • Not strictly true about Switzerland, it's every male of military age is required to keep his service weapon at home. This is due to Switzerland having a total call up in time of war.

  • @rwaggs62 I don't know about that dis-arming allegation....the government prior to Hitler had passed significant gun control laws, Hitler actually watered them down somewhat but only for his thugs and cronies. The more unpleasant truth is that even if the general German population had had guns, they wouldn't have used them, because they supported Hitler....present selective recollections notwithstanding.

  • Even now, Nazis continue to rage about the world's lack of reverance for their pathetic failure of a leader. They deny their past crimes with all the evidence stacked against them, while in true schizophrenic fashion calling for more on a far larger scale. They cannot comprehend why North Americans do not adore a dictator who pre-emptively declared war on them, murdered their sons on the beaches and their relatives in Europe, and who slaughtered with the Gestapo the ranks of his own followers.

  • I read somewhere that Goebbels really threw a fit when he saw a copy of this film.

  • @JCJasion Indeed. Ran out of the screening room kicking the furniture and screaming various expletives.

  • @themysteriouscrumpet - Priceless! Now, if only someone could get and make viral a video or videos of Rush Limpbug(ger) and/or Rick San(i)tor(i)um behaving in like fashion

  • @JCJasion I heard there's a video of Rush Limbaugh dancing at the Ms. America Pageant, actually.

  • the original youtube mashup!

  • All i can think when ever i see German troops doing that goose step is.....dang....you just know some of those guys threw a hip out!

  • Das schöne Leben alt Berlin

  • British propaganda is great but still just propaganda.

  • Pathetic jew's attempt to edit such great video

  • I tought this was gonna be about star wars?

  • @Eskadron22 look up Stormtrooper on wikipedia ;)

  • Who said the Sausage eaters can t have a good time and watch Adolf joining in

  • darra.singh@jobcentreplus.gsi.gov.uk Mr Don Foster M.P. ref CE 0107441 Neta' Ji S. Chandra won the War. Look at Bilston .......... see me apb ref Ann Abraham PHSO Investigation PA 3387 Jesus !

  • W00t! Nazis FTW!

  • Much of the original stock came from "Triumph des Willens."

  • Contrary to the Nazis, the Allies did have humour.

I have never met a humourless person who wasn't als dumb to the bone. Fascists don't have any humour, they can only make uncreative fun of their opponent's perceived weaknesses. That's why they lost the war, and that's why today's Neonazis keep being losers in life.

  • I think the same bunch of fellows who did this film did another one as well; "The invasion of Poland"(set to music?) Does anybody have any info on this?

  • Nick Griffins probably wishin on a star

    that he was there ..... lol . him > '~ [

  • Thats just the real thing .. fascists trying for X Factor .

They didn't win- they all got carried away Lol '- )

  • This kinda makes the Nazi's a bit more likable. is there like a techno version out there?

  • lol funny germans

  • lol lol

  • an old fashiond techno remix, no internet required.

  • I see dead people

  • great movie, feels like hitler at the muppets!

  • the parents and grand parents of everybody behind the making of this video have been fucked by the people dancing in it .......

so get lost you and your sick sense of fun : )

as this shit won't delete what happened in history

  • @JasonBourne719 have a few beers and come back in twenty years

  • beers are for people who can't face their reality , you absolutely know , your kind of people ^_^

and i'm afraid you would be six feet under when i come back in 20 years , old friend ^_*

  • I think the way to properly fight a war is to have a dance-off. No more killing, just "kill 'em on the dance floor".

  • The Germans had better to dance than fight!

  • Brilliant!

  • I can't help noticing from the posted comments how much more articulate are the people who actually remember the Lambeth Walk vs. the pathetic scribblings of those born long after the war.

  • I was born decades after the war ended, yet I understand the historical context and why this is not only an excellent piece of propaganda but absolutely hilarious.

  • You have to understand this film in its historic context. The Lambeth Walk was from a musical of the day (the theatre was actually bombed by the Nazis). The song became a bit of a rallying march by Londoners of the day. Using it to ridicule Stormtroopers would have been utterly hysterical to Brits in the 40s. This is not just a film ridiculing Herr Schickelgruber by watching him march backwards; it's a rallying cry for British unity in wartime.

  • Estupidez sin gracia ninguna

  • lol nice song wut it it?

  • ...that's just bloody hilarious !

  • reminds me of that old cat food ad

  • Wow! In 1938 EVERYONE was doing the 'Lambeth Walk.' OY! I remember how neat it was to see the singers and dancers come down into the audience performing this song in the stage production.

  • HAHAHHAHAHA!!!! XD TO FUNNY !!!

  • The Holy Roman Catholic Church in Ireland, President De Valera, the Fianna Fail (Catholic) Party, and Sinn Fein/IRA (the Church's Bootboy Party), ratlined these Nazies, in the firm belief that they would genetically beget an all-Catholic Lambeth-Goose-Step branch of Opus Dei in Dubllin... They did! Since when the Irish mind b(b)o(o)g(g)g(g)l(l)e(e)s(s)!(!)

  • fuck you hitler americas the best mwahahaha

  • ... (Mehr) VORSPRUNG DURCH TECHNIK ...

  • This is sort of hypnotic when you watch it first thing in the morning.

  • If you want to hear a tune the Germans didn't like look for "Spike Jones and "In der Fuhrers Face"

  • One of the most famous songs of the War, that was. And amazingly funny.

  • A British generation that held their heads high, unlike the weasels in government now. Best way to show up any enemy is to humiliate them and broadcast it. What does the crony Labour government do instead-it talks of them as a formidable enemy and wants to do dialogue with them. I ask you can any government in British history be so treacherous and spineless?

  • This film caused Goebbels to have a major cursing tantrum hissy-fit.

    Poor Baby!

  • It's interesting if you compare this to Why We Fight, the Americans tried to increase morale by making everyone hate the Nazi's, we did it by making everyone laugh at them.

  • I think that is also why Charlie Chaplin's "The Great Dictator" was much more popular in Britain than in the US at the time. I watch this video occasionaly just to have a good bellylaugh!

  • Yeah, deathcamps and a racist war machine, that was really funny. Ha ha ha. I wish we could be more like you Brits and just laugh at evil.

  • When this film was made now one outside the German high command knew about the holocaust.

  • You were comparing the British "Lambeth Walk Nazi Style" to the American "Why We Fight" films, which you said demonstrated American use of hatred to elevate morale. The "Why We Fight" films were made between 1942 and 1945, by which time the Nazi's murderous rampaging left little room for laughter. Even for you laughter-loving Brits.

  • We had a secret weapon which kept laughter levels high, his name was George Formby.

  • @Sanity9Moon

Nazis were just punks and bullies by nature. And nothing pisses a bully off more, than being laughed at.

    Don't believe me?

Go to any of the nazi love-sites in YouTube, and there are far too many, and make fun of some wannabee nazis. Then stand back, and watch them go ape-shit.

  • I'm not going to waste my time visiting idiotic pro-Nazi websites. But it wasn't laugher that stopped the Nazis. It was Allied bombs, bullets, tanks, and soldiers.

  • @Sanity9Moon

Laughter, and good humor, and high morale, was one of the most powerful weapons the Allies had against the Nazis.

If you don't understand that, I can't explain it.

  • Yeah, but without the bombs and the bullets, we'd all be laughing in German right now.

And I never said that the video wasn't funny.

  • @Sanity9Moon

Like I said, if you don't understand....

    .

  • And if you keep assuming that people whose emails you've somehow misconstrued are are too obtuse to understand the power of humor, then maybe you should take some of your own advice, sick back, have a laugh, and lighten up.

  • BTW, If you read my original post, you will see that I never questioned the value of "laughing" at the enemy. I merely took issue withTashkentFox's snobby conclusion that the British Government responded to the Nazis with "laughter" while the Americans responded with "hate." THAT's what I was addressing, not the effectiveness of humor. (BTW, the British had their share of "hate" propaganda, and the Americans could also laugh, as in the famous Donald Duck vs. the Nazis cartoon.)

  • @Sanity9Moon

Then when responding to people, you shouldn't delete the "@xxxxxx", because for one, it's rude, and second, it makes it look like you posted a general comment.

And it was the Warner Bros. cartoons that mocked the nazis the most. (And best.) Walt Disney, himself, was rumored to be pro-fascist . Whatever that might imply.

  • My posts are clearly listed as responses to "TashkentFox".

In any case, if you keep asserting that I'm "rude" and incapable of "understanding," there's no use continuing this useless exchange.

  • @Sanity9Moon

No. They are not, just as you deliberately failed to do, again this time.

But I quite agree on the second part of your missive.

  • Scroll down to TashkentFox, seven months ago. All my responses to this person are indented under his or her original post.

  • @Sanity9Moon

To quote you, "I'm not going to waste my time" scrolling back SEVEN months ago, because you're too rude, to stop deleting the "@xxxxxx" from your posts.

You have become tiresome. Please stop bothering me. I will no longer respond to your posts.

  • Thank God!

  • hitler had a gud run

  • great propaganda, we must use this against all terrorists and show them up as the evil fools they are, where is bin laden doing the lambeth???

  • anyone who says this isn't awesome is obviously a faggot

    period.

  • idiot

  • My dear old mum was conscripted into a factory making parts for weapons from 1939 to 1945. She loved this clip when it came on the television - though she first saw it at the cinema.

Mocking those we fear - very British.

  • translation:

War in the hills is slacker that the sahara!

    (post in Eniglish, please)

  • English translation:

Dunk God in the sea, jeans shink and rub you!

    (post in Eniglish, please)

  • Freaky. Yet I'm impelled to watch....

  • Eh storm Troopers? Well the first vids yep but after = Heer Falschirmjäger, SS

  • What a weird, hilarious video. Knowing that it drove Goebbels bonkers adds to its pleasure. Making fun of any group who styles themselves the Master ____ is always worthwhile.

  • Very funny! so ridiculos they are!

  • Christ... I heard a great deal about this film. I never imagined it could be this funny! Faved and fived. Thank you for sharing.

  • OMG, that is still hilarious. No wonder Gobbels blew his stack when he saw it.

  • thats only cos he wanted to be the STAR in it and did'nt really get a dance scene to himself LOL LOL doing the LAMBETH WALK Hoy

  • How come the Allies had such splendid humour, while the Nazis had none? This alone shows the inferiority of the Nazi society. Sour to the bone.

  • I guess that makes them "sour krauts"?

  • LOL, good one

  • One of the reasons the germans lost the war was becuase they took everything too seriously, and most of thier propoganda was spent on either hate or love for hitler...

  • Laughing at the enemy - hugely morale boosting.

  • i heard the when georbles saw this, he whent mad and wreaked the cinema and started throwing chairs.

  • According to a propaganda translator who was interviewed after the war, he was seated next to Goebbels in his private screening room. When the film ended, he let out a chuckle and Goebbels, his face red as a beet, screamed "How dare you find that amusing! Jokes cease to be funny when they deal with the holiest aspects of the nation!" He then went to a rage, kicking chairs and screaming profanities as he left. His value as a translator kept him from being shot.

  • lol! WTF?

  • Haven't seen this in years, loved it.

  • Hitler, Stalin, Nixon,Amin and now it looks like the East Coast financial and political dynasties of the US and the New World Order folks of Great Britian and Switzerland.....

We better have a good laugh before these new Nazis shut down the Internet!

  • such stupid stupid comments...do you know nothing of history...this was an early and a wonderful attempt to puncture the pompous ( and dangerous) idiocy that soon led to fifty million (yes, you morons) fifty million deaths in the second world war - truly those who know no history are doomed to repeat it!!! Don't think you are qualified to comment on the basis that you know nothing about the subect...

  • please explain to me how and WHY THEN DO WE CONTINUE to repeat history over and over again. Different players, sometimes different countries we still fail learn from the past? Pigeon holing and giving a sharp witty quips or sound bites and trying to simplfiy situations is part of the problem. To understand history you must understand the context of the times. This was British awnser to Goebbels showed the king and queen of england dancing to the Lambyth Walk; calling the Brits anamalistic.

  • @struanrobertson Personally, I am quite disgusted with how many foam-flecked nazi propagandists have overrun Youtube, who go into a froth every time one of these parodies comes up. This is why we have to keep the jokes coming! The general public must realize that we make them not to make light of the suffering of the victims of fascism, but to expose the fascists themselves and get their blood pressure up before they attempt to destroy North America with another ineptedly lead war.

  • You know that more German civilians were killed by American and English bombing raids than actual combatants.

  • thats what pisses me off

  • "German Soldiers got their Asses Kicked by Americans." is not entirely true , it was a extremely close war, much more so than most Americans are willing to admit. I am proud that we defeated such tyranny and prevented countless years of oppression yet we much be willing to admit the narrow escape so as to provide a sense of urgency were something of that nature to ever rise again.

  • German soldiers got their asses kicked - if they got them kicked at all, by the Russian - after the war their were several secret commission instituted by the Pentagon to discover why US troops had done so BADLY against the germans...read your history...!!!

  • very stupid this video!

  • who cares?

  • Yes, very funny what u wrote.

  • Danken Sie Gott dafür, dass jene Tage vorüber sind!

  • I know of a couple of attempts on his life, the last one in July 1944 by Col. Claus von Stauffenberg. Hitler was severely injured from the explosion which had burst his eardrums and badly damaged his left arm. It also killed four members of his staff. After that, he did not trust most of his generals.

Stauffenberg, of course, was put to death but at least he tried.

  • The german soldiers look so disciplined

  • There were many attempts on Hitler's life from inside Germany, especially in 1939 and 1944. It just wasn't in the cards for this nasty neurotic Austrian to die by his own hand until his beloved Reich was in ruins.

  • He wasted the lives of his own people and others. Don't know why the fuck someone in Germany didn't kill him.

  • They tried. Believe me, they tried. Google "Johann Georg Elser", "Eberhard von Breitenbuch", "Rudolf von Gertsdorff", "Axel von dem Bussche", "Claus Schenk von Stauffenberg", "Fritz-Dietlof von der Schulenberg", "Erwin von Witzleben" and "Kurt von Hammerstein" just to name a few Germans who tried to dim Adolph's lights for good.

  • Thanks for that info, I'll be looking it up.

  • I heard most people liked him. I mean, he did brought the country out of the depression.

  • Yes, it was a very good opportunity. for only 50 million's person's lives, incredibly losses and destruction of half of Europe, Warsaw, Sankt Petersburg, and Le Havre, Dunkerque, London, and Dresdenn finally. Stop to believe such things that you wrote!

  • it takes only one man to almost wipe out a race. the king of racism!

  • Well your saying jews are a race now instead of a religion, which is rather odd. And Jews were not 'almost' wiped out there were plenty left and they already had a state for themselves in Soviet Russia.

  • LOL oh yeah your right plenty left to spare. And isn't that's what Hitler differentiate them as a race!?

  • this was called something else, but i cant quite put my finger on it...

  • Goose-step

  • not the song, this film.

  • Various titles abound. One was "Shicklgruber Does the Lambeth Walk."

  • Two titles that I heard of - "Lambeth Walk- Nazi Style" and "Swing the Lambeth Walk"

  • Best Lambeth Walk of all! Wunderbar! :-))

  • How hilarious. Since when did storm troopers have obsessive compulsive disorder?

  • Laughing, yet in tears the whole way through this

  • good stuff

  • absolutly brilliant way of taking hte mick, laughed through the whole thing wen i saw this!

  • Believe it or not Josef Goebbels, the Nazi propaganda chief, was shown a copy of this in his private screening room. He reportedly left the room kicking chairs and screaming profanities.

  • west side walk it out. east side walk it out.

  • do-in the lambeth walk, oi!

  • funny

  • Brilliant editing and synchronization by those Allied newsreel boys!
