Allah gives certain requirements for non-muslims to enter heaven. one of them includess believing that there is only one God. the Quran says that the christians and jews have passed this test.
@Zobaire90 christian are tritheist,they definitely don't believe in the oneness of god...how can mary(mariam) be the mother of god while at the same time being the daughter of god,this is irrational..we sunni-muslim are tawhid and i think it makes sense here but wahabi would argue that we are polytheist for we worship nabi muhammad(pbuh),in fact we praise the prophet muhammad(pbuh) as a good example to man but we do not pray him.i cant understand why exist such a cleavage between muslims?
@dharynparapen666 Christians do believe in one God, but its very complicating and it could easily misguide some of its followers. the complication arised because man changed and corrupted the bible. Well, maybe thats why some muslim scholars argue that the Qur'an is referring to the christians and jews of the Prophet Muhammed(swt). I dont think wahabis would say such a thing. i dont know much about wahabis except that they are very strict muslims. they wouldnt consider the prophet in such a way.

@dharynparapen666 Walikum Salam, you see everything about Islam came to being in stages. For example the Qur'an was revealed within a period of 23 years. Certain chapters were revealed when we were ready for it. Allah does not expect you to change and obey all his commandments over night. But, what he expects is for you to at least TRY. Give yourself one goal (e.g. praying) then try to your best of ability to achieve it. if you fail, try agian. For this you will be getting more rewards.
@dharynparapen666 Allah says that you shall respect and honour your parents but, when they interfere with your faith, thats the only time you can disobey them. but still respect and love them. also, about fasting, if you are not use to it, start of slow. for example fast for half a day and thens slowly build your way up. so by next year hopefully you can fast for a whole month. so dont feel like you have to change over night. do things at your best of your ability if you fail try again.

My point in all this is that even the times you prayed is not a waste. Besides. Any smart person would admit that a human cannot just die and not exist anymore. At least I cant. Just think about this:"When I die, there will be nothing" I dont know. Its strange. I think its like inception. You die here, wake up in another world. ALLAH doesn't demand anything. And just like Ovechkinfan8 said, if I am wrong, I lose the time I spent praying. Then again. Praying in inself is a technique to make your mind medidate. To focus it on one thing. It is a well known technique that is used all over called "Hypnosis". You hypnotise your mind and are then able to focus on only 1 thing.

@funnystarchild All Dawkins did in that video was bash religion by making it seem like every1 just goes by what they were brought up believing, and then he just fires the same question back at her, without actually answering the question. The simple answer is that if he is wrong, then he will have to answer to his Creator and face the consequences; if a religious person is wrong, nothing happens to him.
@funnystarchild If I, a muslim, am wrong, then what do i lose? Ten minutes out of each day to pray, and that is literally it. Virtually everything else my religion entails (fasting, abstinence from alcohol/premarital sex/pork, etc.) has been proven to be beneficial. All major religions promise a torment for eternity. Are you ready to handle that? Is that worth deviation. Absolutely not.

@funnystarchild That is not to say that we shouldnt try to understand things; I disagree with people who discourage deep religious thought. For example,I sometimes think how God can know the future but preserve free will, but in the end, I realize that there is no answer I am capable of comprehending(just as a 1st grader will be confused when approached by an adult with an algebra problem). The difference between my thought and an Atheists is i dont think failure to understand disproves God.

@funnystarchild This is why he gave us the ability of free will, that is to repent, to think, to consider what is good and/or what is bad, and thereby gave us life on earth as a test to our submission to Allah. This can be explained with an Arabic word being pronounced Haq'. There is a key between them, it is hard for me to explain, but Inshallah if you take the time to read about it, you will see what I mean and Inshallah you will be guided to the right path.

I am sure that we all have free will, but just because free will coinciding with knowledge of the future seems contradictory and impossible to us doesnt mean that it is for God; an omniscient being need not be constricted by human logic, or postpone his knowledge to fit with the time system that He created for his creation. Like I said, God created our brain with limits; we cannot expect to be on the same level with our Creator.
@funnystarchild We also cant understand why God is God, just like an ant wouldnt be able to fathom why humans exist. My point is, we cant use our inability to fully understand every aspect of God as proof against His existence; if we could have as much knowledge or power as Him, then we would be equals to Him, wouldn't we?

no matter how hard it become 4 us...
salah is the important act of islam and is mandatory 1ce u get in2 islam and Allah swt will ask 4 it. wht u can do is 2 start with fard only cz Allah swt know ur condition and HE will insha'Allah c ur efforts 2 dt u will b making by atleast performing it 2 sm xtend. try 2 take out chance of performing it whn ur parents are not around or if u get chance to go out and offer it at masjid/ mosque.
offer esha(the last prayer) with taraveeh whn thy go 2 sleep.

And it was already revealed to you and to those before you that if you should associate [anything] with Allah , your work would surely become worthless, and you would surely be among the losers." (39:65)
Allah gives certain requirements for non-muslims to enter heaven. one of them includess believing that there is only one God. the Quran says that the christians and jews have passed this test.

@Zobaire90 christian are tritheist,they definitely don't believe in the oneness of god...how can mary(mariam) be the mother of god while at the same time being the daughter of god,this is irrational..we sunni-muslim are tawhid and i think it makes sense here but wahabi would argue that we are polytheist for we worship nabi muhammad(pbuh),in fact we praise the prophet muhammad(pbuh) as a good example to man but we do not pray him.i cant understand why exist such a cleavage between muslims?

@dharynparapen666 Christians do believe in one God, but its very complicating and it could easily misguide some of its followers. the complication arised because man changed and corrupted the bible. Well, maybe thats why some muslim scholars argue that the Qur'an is referring to the christians and jews of the Prophet Muhammed(swt). I dont think wahabis would say such a thing. i dont know much about wahabis except that they are very strict muslims. they wouldnt consider the prophet in such a way.

@Zobaire90 salam waleikum brother,since am a new revert muslim,am having difficulties integrating the muslim society,my parents are of different religious background and my conversion didnt appeal to them,they are stressed bout it,they think am unstable and inconsistent..i really fear god now,sometimes i still got the feeling that am not a true muslim coz i dont perform salah..in fact am very enthusiastic to perform salah but the issue is parent.am looking forward to fast too,plz help

@dharynparapen666 Walikum Salam, you see everything about Islam came to being in stages. For example the Qur'an was revealed within a period of 23 years. Certain chapters were revealed when we were ready for it. Allah does not expect you to change and obey all his commandments over night. But, what he expects is for you to at least TRY. Give yourself one goal (e.g. praying) then try to your best of ability to achieve it. if you fail, try agian. For this you will be getting more rewards.

@dharynparapen666 Allah says that you shall respect and honour your parents but, when they interfere with your faith, thats the only time you can disobey them. but still respect and love them. also, about fasting, if you are not use to it, start of slow. for example fast for half a day and thens slowly build your way up. so by next year hopefully you can fast for a whole month. so dont feel like you have to change over night. do things at your best of your ability if you fail try again.

@TheMrpalid I do not hate, I find this wonderfull, but this religion has only became this because it has been created by sad people, why? because arab people tend to be more dominant and aggresive then western or asian people, in this way alot of people are less happy and turn to their religion as their saviour.

@kurdski1 hahaha you cant judge a book by its cover.. look muslims are all over the world.. not just arab countries..islam came from arab countries but however, arabs only a fraction of muslims world wide..there are loads of muslims in china..pakistan..afghanistan...iran...etc etc and they do not speak arabic..arabic language is more comprehensive then any other language so hence, this is the reason Quran was revealed in arabic..similarly previous scriptures in aramaic and in hebrew languages

My point in all this is that even the times you prayed is not a waste. Besides. Any smart person would admit that a human cannot just die and not exist anymore. At least I cant. Just think about this:"When I die, there will be nothing" I dont know. Its strange. I think its like inception. You die here, wake up in another world. ALLAH doesn't demand anything. Everything we are told, is for our own good. Respect parents, treat siblings in a good way. Be honest in your dealings. Etcetra etcetra.

And just like Ovechkinfan8 said, if I am wrong, I lose the time I spent praying. Then again. Praying in inself is a technique to make your mind medidate. To focus it on one thing. It is a well known technique that is used all over called "Hypnosis". You hypnotise your mind and are then able to focus on only 1 thing.

@funnystarchild All Dawkins did in that video was bash religion by making it seem like every1 just goes by what they were brought up believing, and then he just fires the same question back at her, without actually answering the question. The simple answer is that if he is wrong, then he will have to answer to his Creator and face the consequences; if a religious person is wrong, nothing happens to him.

Virtually everything else my religion entails (fasting, abstinence from alcohol/premarital sex/pork, etc.) has been proven to be beneficial. Im not trying to prove my religion, but any smart person would have to admit that its obvious that when it comes to worrying about being wrong, atheists should be a lot more worried...

@funnstarchild The thing is: ALLAH knows what we WILL do in our life journey. HE has not decided our life. Rather HE knows our decisions that we are going to make in the life till death. Look. Example: I know that you are going to reply to this post. Now does it make any difference to you? Just because I know something that you are going to do, doesnt make any difference to your free will. Now does it? Just like that. ALLAH knows decisions we will all make in our lives and knows where we wil end

@funnystarchild Interesting convo and good questions. I'm a muslim and would be willing to shed some light on mathematical proofs that a god must exist. I've watched "What if you're wrong?" He dodges the question! No answer and I can answer his. What if I'm wrong? So i prayed, i didn't lose anything besides time and energy (very minimal at that). Now what if you're wrong? All major religions promise a torment for eternity. Are you ready to handle that? Is that worth deviation. Absolutely not.

People already answered your Question, yet not fulfilled. Allah said to mankind, I (Allah subhana wa ta ala) have given you the guidance in front of you, clear and open for your eyes to see.
-Our life is a test. Do good, be religious, and Inshallah you will go to Jannah, do the opposite, and Inshallah you will go to Jahanam. Allah knows best.

@funnystarchild That is not to say that we shouldnt try to understand things; I disagree with people who discourage deep religious thought. For example,I sometimes think how God can know the future but preserve free will, but in the end, I realize that there is no answer I am capable of comprehending(just as a 1st grader will be confused when approached by an adult with an algebra problem). The difference between my thought and an Atheists is i dont think failure to understand disproves God.

Then doesnt he already know who is going to hell and who is going to paradise? So in a sence. Some of us are fucked no matter what we do? Pardon the language. :)

@funnystarchild This is why he gave us the ability of free will, that is to repent, to think, to consider what is good and/or what is bad, and thereby gave us life on earth as a test to our submission to Allah. This can be explained with an Arabic word being pronounced Haq'. There is a key between them, it is hard for me to explain, but Inshallah if you take the time to read about it, you will see what I mean and Inshallah you will be guided to the right path.

I am sure that we all have free will, but just because free will coinciding with knowledge of the future seems contradictory and impossible to us doesnt mean that it is for God; an omniscient being need not be constricted by human logic, or postpone his knowledge to fit with the time system that He created for his creation. Like I said, God created our brain with limits; we cannot expect to be on the same level with our Creator.

@funnystarchild We also cant understand why God is God, just like an ant wouldnt be able to fathom why humans exist. My point is, we cant use our inability to fully understand every aspect of God as proof against His existence; if we could have as much knowledge or power as Him, then we would be equals to Him, wouldn't we?
I have a very simple view of my religion (Islam), one that Ive always been very comfortable with. Keep posting if you have any more questions. Hope this helps

@funnystarchild The problem with that logic is that you are trying to understand God's intentions by thinking as if God was a human with a mind that is simply human in nature (which is, of course, the only way we as humans are capable of doing so. God did not create us with the capabilities to comprehend everything; only He, the Omniscient, can). This, i think, is the problem that most Atheists have.

@funnystarchild Coz the purpose of the world is to seperate good from the bad. To know who will do good and bad when they know there will be judgement in other world only. If GOD were to do what you said, everyone'd turn to HIM.But only outta fear. Not because of faith.So.GOD sent prophets to guide mankind. He's told us "DO WHATEVER YOU WANT BUT I AM RIGHT HERE!" A free will is ours so that we dont whine when HE passes his judgement on us. He will have proof of our actions.
