LOL i once went from robe/sa to hamiton/vic well we only had like 2 stations and this song came up and my dad, mum, bro and me crack up now im going to see if i can get it on my ipod and crack up some more this song is the one of the funnyest songs in the world LOL LOL LOL so fricken funny HAHAHHAHAHA loved it :PPPPPPPPPPP :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
I remember the radio played the CRAP out of this song back in '72. I enjoyed it then, and now it takes me back to the days of laying IN the back window of the car while driving, all of those Nagas murdered for furniture upholstery, and 39 cent gas!
Oh my God! Haven't heard this song since I was REAL YOUNG- about 400 years ago. Despite growing up in Chicago, my family never flew anywhere, so O'Hare and Midway were just tourist sights. Finally about five years ago I got the chance to fly to L.A. and as old as I am, this song was in my head. Thanks for bringing back a pleasant memory!
Susan Raye and Buck Owens may have been good friends, but they were never married to each other. Her husband, Jerry Wiggins, was the drummer with Buck Owens band, the Buckeroo's.
@MrDriftinjim I wondered about Buck and Susan. I didn't know they were married, but thought they might be involved romantically. They sung so well together.
I agree - I thought there wasn't a video of her performing this out there! This is great! One my favorite songs by one of my favorite classic country singers!
very soulful voice

Just a great song and great voice. Today you seem to have to wear meat suites to be considered a great "singer", what a laugh. LOL.

I read someplace she was/is married to Buck's Drummer not Buck, and she finished college and is a Christian psychologist in Eugene Oregon

Buck Owens was a lucky man, being married to a fox with a beautiful voice.

I saw this on Hee Haw, She is one of the reasons I watch it. Before Hee Haw she was on "The Buck Owens Show" every week.
This was a Half Hour show. I have some audio songs she sang on it.
In the 70s WMUR-Channel 9 in Manchester, NH use to play the show.
I have not seen it since.
