Saw my all time favorite band "AMERICA" live in concert for the first time and was only 3 rows back. Are you kidding me?? Even got my picture taken with Gerry Beckley. Totally AWESOME. The concert was a birthday gift from my loving wife Joan, and it's the best ever. I will cherish the memories.

a few years ago my daughter brought my wife and i tickets to see the beach boys in concert in Sydney (Aust) and to my suprise America were the the "support act" - enjoyed America more than the beach boys - their sound is unique and unlike many of todays groups/artists dont need full on electronics to perform eh?

Love these guys SO much...have seen them well over 30 times since they began..got to meet them on many occasions and their families as well and got go to hang out and party with them a couple times. @Roberthenryii Personally I really liked the "Holiday" album because of the rich strings produced by George Martin and the strong melodies. The whole album was quality created at the top of their career as the original trio. I wore the grooves off that album in the 70's!

Saw them at Artpark in Lewiston New York this past summer and they came out for photos and autographs. Finally got to meet my idols! Great guys and Chasing The Rainbow is one of their best songs!

The guitar riff has elements of Ventura Highway in it. If they are not including it in their live shows then they should. I've seen them in concert twice. The first time was in Lowell, MA in 2005. I got to meet them after the show. They were kind enough to autograph the CD version of their debut album (which I have listened to since early childhood) and pose for a picture with me. As has been stated by others, both Beckley and Bunnell are really nice guys.

Just saw Gerry and Dewey in concert in Atlanta at Chastain Park....they were phenomenal!!! We actually met them and they are the nicest guys ever. America is my all time favorite group...beautiful blend of voices, unique and unmistakable:) These guys have talent beyond belief! My husband Tom actually went backstage to talk to them about Ventura Hwy being the song played in dramatic footage as the Vietnam POWs were being released from North Vietnam. Will never forget them and their music! Paula
