  • what a fucking idiot, could have swerved off to the left hard instead of that pathetic attempt to stop at the last second.

  • Looks like those teenagers had a poor judgment of speed and distance over time. Unfortunately for those, they won't get another chance to learn from their mistakes.

  • I am from CT and witnessed a state trooper wreck and flip his cruiser on it's side doing the same thing! The trooper was FLYING with no lights & siren and a young male driver pulled out from a side road. The civilian looked and thinking he had more than enough time, pulled out into traffic. The civilian could not however tell that the trooper was going no less than 80 mph. This was in a rural open area and the trooper was FLYING! As the civilian pulled out thinking the trooper was more than far

  • a sad scenario for sure. all in all when your sister is getting raped by a prison escapee on a Kroger loading dock and police are responding, aren't you glad they may catch the bastard before he works his way to your fiance?

  • Oh shit!

  • I followed an ambulance home late one night from work, about 2am, and the person driving it was going in excess of 80mph. No lights or sirens, not going anywhere. I followed him back to my hometown and he was returning to his base of operations. He pulled up to the garage at the ambulance station and backed in and shut the door. Talk about abuse of power.

  • It even says that the sirens and the lights were off so don't fucking say it was the teens fault because it wasn't fuck that cop and I hope he burns in hell.

  • Cops think that driving through the orange cones at tha polic e academy for 2 days, enables them to defy the rules of physics....and common sense.

  • was this in orange ct?

  • @deatthkid66 The accident occured in Orange, CT on the Boston Post Road at the intersection of Dogwood Road

  • They were just having some goold ol drag racing fun. "Hey lets see who's cop car is faster!" "Okay"

  • Being a cop=free pass to speed all day long. 120 mph...it's a fringe benefit.

The pay sucks. All you get is good health insurance, power and the right to speed. Everyone knows that. It's part of their compensation package.

  • Dang that sucks :O

  • This officer was charged with two counts of 53a-56 MANSLAUGHTER 2ND DEG and one count 14-222 RECKLESS DRIVING and is out on a $250,000 bond. He was not given any special treatment by the law enforcement agency that did the investigation.

Please do not judge all police officers by this one individual.

  • @CTMotorcop -thanks for the info. You are correct and I hope people don't judge all officers on things like this.

  • this puts cops in a bad light. If you are a cop you are supposed to be an icon of responsibility. Obviously not all cops are great, but this is ridiculous!

  • Speed thrills but kills.

I think now a days Cops should also know this.

  • didnt the cop want severence pay?

  • wasnt this on inside edition?

  • @Carlton007 - it's very difficult to judge the speed at night. In only took 2 sec. for the police car to go from almost 200 feet away to zero. I've had the same thing happen to me at night twice.. Lucky I waited the extra sec.

Cop was 100% at fault, it was a bad mistake. Cops are human too, they mess up.

  • @redshift40 yeah I guess you're right, my bad

  • @Carlton007 OK so you think everyone is Neo from the matrix then? have you ever tried to dodge a car going 90 with NO siren on?

    you try surviving that

  • Comment removed

  • all the cop had to do is put on his lights and sirens flyin through the city like that and the teens would porobably be alive right now because they would of seen the cop

  • @redshift40 dude no offence or anything but first off speeding doesn't killl its stupidity that does. 2nd off if the cop has his radar on it would of made the driver aware there was a cop around which would have maybe not made the accident happen and 3rd off I am a very aware driver. Like who the fuck goes that fast through a red light your just asking to die if you do that.

  • @mikey77771 - any speed above 60 kph will increase your chances of getting seriously hurt or killed in a crash, no matter how aware you are. It only takes a split sec for shit to go wrong.

I also highly doubt they had their radar on, and the light was flashing amber, not red.

  • @redshift40 well still they guy that turned should have seen the cop car coming its common sense and plus it doesn't matter how fast you drive if your turning like this guy was and get hit your fucked no matter what.

  • @mikey77771 - "it doesn't matter how fast you drive "

Yes it does, if the cop was not speeding, this wouldn't have happened. A car coming toward you at 137.8 feet per second (94 mph) doesn't leave much time for judging the speed. I can guarantee they didn't know it was a police car or that it was going that fast.

  • @redshift40 Dude its not hard to judge at all unless you are a terrible driver. The statistics prove that speeding isn't the thing that cause car accidents it is people no paying attention and not knowing how to drive proper. Slow drivers cause just as many accidents as fast drivers do. It shows it. Look it up.

  • @mikey77771 - "speeding isn't the thing that cause car accidents" WTF? Speeding is the 2nd leading factor in auto crashes. But don't listen to a 3rd generation driver who has been driving longer than you've been alive. Continue speeding then, since you think it is not a factor.

  • @redshift40 OMG man you still don't get the point I'm trying to make. Where I live speed limits are posted well below then they should be. And Im not talking about excessive speeding. In town you shouldn't speed but on open road it doesn't matter. If your meant to go your meant to go.

  • @mikey77771 isnt speeding stupid? hmmmmm

  • @mikeydurr Ya excessive speeding is stupid especially in town. But when your out on the highway there is nothing wrong with it allows you know to drive well.

  • oh gees these cops are more corrupt than ours here in spokane damn thats just bad dude no one should have to die like this

  • and i bet he felt like shit killing two innocent teenagers. fuck any cop who got something to say about anyone killing for a "reason"

  • The officer should face criminal and civil charges, may god have mercy on his soul...I however feel he deserves none.

  • He didn't have his sirens on look at 0.24 secs there aren't on, it was the cops fault!

  • ha! what a dumb ass

  • This happened in my area of Connecticut. It is a dang shame what happened to those teenagers. I agree not all cops are bad, but most believe they are above the law. BTW the officers were NOT responding to a call and therefore did NOT have lights and siren (@taylor). As a matter of fact, they were ending shift and rushing back to base...

  • This happened in my area. The cops were racing, not doing police work. No siren, running lights and snuff out two kids would were driving reasonably. The cop should be in jail for 20 years.

  • HEY HEY HEY NOT EVERY COP IS BAD OK?!

THIS IS JUST ONE OF THE BAD 90% THAT GIVE THE OTHER 10% A BAD NAME GEEZ!

  • Yeah, why no sirens? Lights? It's pretty irresponsible and careless. Now he's got the weight of those two deaths on his conscience for a life time.

  • i knew them they were really good friends of mine they died on june 13th

  • vehicle turning left goes last

  • He had his lights and sirens on.... the teenagers should have stopped!!! Everyone MUST stop for Emergency Vehicles and watch out for them. They have to get to places fast so they can help

  • @Taylorxbox - no he did not have his lights or siren on. If you want to become a cop, you should look into the facts before you say something. Put yourself in the kids shoes, see if you could judge a cars speed coming at you at 94 mph. It was reckless driving, and totally unnecessary.

  • There were no lights dude. try reviewing the viceo again. That particular officer should have followed procedures that were designed by higher ranked officers who have seen everything. If you deviate from the game plan then you are basically thumbing your nose at senior officers and policy makers. You desrespect your uniform, your boss and the civilians at a large for whom you SWORE to protect and serve

  • @Taylorxbox where the fuck do you hear sirens, if the video has no audio..and how the fuck does he have his lights on if theirs obviously no fuckin lights on

  • police car speeding caused

  • no flashing lights?

  • "internal investigation"

makes me sick. cops think they're above the law. Officer Anderson will be let off, go back to duty and ostensibly one girl is dead, and another was badly hurt and got his car totaled.

Officer anderson should be let go by the Millford PD even if a judge declares he's not at fault.

  • Every emergency car has to slow down before every crossing! Also this one. To much speed!

  • guess, even if you have right of way, turning left if a collision occurs the driver turning left is at fault. given normal situation. though the cruiser should have been running code , even if not for a call. soon as the vehicle is in excess of posted, lights on. NAPD is clear on that.

some times, you just got to get it out of your system, when you can and its safe to do so.

In the UK all police driving training is done in live traffic conditions, while the driver gives commentary.

  • what is this 1946? wheres the color cameras?? you can see the kids heads explode on impact.

  • fuck you beachbum talking about them like that you lowlife bottomfeeder your a disgrace to a better tommorow how dare you ever say something like that you fucking scumbag. how bout if your families heads expoded would you like that??? you fucking scum. DONT ANSWER BACK if your better than that. God Bless you dave and ash love you both for ever and ever shine your light upon us.RIP

  • beachbummm69 is just another loner living down his parents basement with his only friend, a computer...sad.

  • @beachbummm69 Notice that in the dark, you can't see colour very well? That's what happened with these cameras. They are colour, but not much colour is coming through because it's dark.

  • lol kinda serves them right for driving into his path, maybe i was taught to drive differently but i drive like everyone is speeding and out to get me and i have never been in a wreck. Should have waited to turn until after the car passed. But again the officer should have been running code......

  • GODDAM PIGS all they give a fuck about is their adrenaline high. u know not a dam thing will be done, they will be giving this pig an award next year.

  • I hope that the cop got 2 counts of involuntary man slaughter and lost his job! That would be justice, do you have a follow up on this?

  • sickayda ; The officer was driving 94 miles per hour and was not on an emergency call. He's been charged with manslaughter. (Nov. 18)

  • Thanks! I feel better about the outcome of this! there lives ended so fast! they didn't even get to say goodbye to their loved ones, that is so sad. as a father I have a hard time not crying when I see this video,

  • wow

  • I think some of the "ABOVE the Law " activities cops are using is starting to catch up with them . You see enough vid's of them shooting people that are handcuffed or terrorizing a ambulance driver ? Four cops got wacked today in Washington state an 1-three weeks ago .

They have rules they need to live by to.I worked in a jail for about a month . I could not be associated with some of the stuff they did an quit.

    Peace

  • There are many good cops on the force too. It's just that the bad apples stand out so much. As they should though.

  • @Hybrid5226 this should be treated as if he wasnt in a cop car that was pure stupidity he didnt even brake

  • If you are going to run a red light or stop sign, you always have to have lights on... Even it wasn't the law, it's common sense. Why would you not have lights on.

  • Police aren't required to use their emergency lights when responding to a crime, Seattle Police spokeswoman Renee Witt said.

"It's a matter of judgment," she said, adding that in some cases it's safer for those involved not to come with lights and sirens. If people have serious concerns, they can contact the police precincts

  • You are wrong, so is the police spokeswoman.

I don't think it is a good law though, because in some situations you shouldn't have lights and sirens going. Robbery in progress ect...so they don't use them for those situations. Who is going to complain?

  • Depends on what the call is; in this video it looks like it was a serious call so yes he should have all lights on. Some calls don't require lights on; say for domestic if they are arguing; if they are arguing with a gun then yes all lights and siren have to be on; once again it looks like they were on a serious call; so yes he should have his lights on. It also looked like it was early in the morning all intersection lights were flashing yellow; I bet there rules changed after this.

  • Wrong... it does not depend on "what the call is". He was not on a call anyway.

  • Why would there be two of them? Unless they were in the middle of the night racing. But it does depend on what the call is; I have friends that are cops and there are situations that dont call for lights and sirens, there are calls that just require light and then there are calls that require lights and sirens; they are not going to have their lights on for a call for a car being broke into an hour after it occurs; when they go on a call its not always an emergency

  • I just found the news article they were after a call; so yes he should be in trouble; but once again it does depend what the call is

  • If police are going to run stop signs, run red lights and speed, they must "by law" use caution at intersections and have both emerg. lights and sirens on. They were both breaking the very laws they are supposed to uphold. I see police doing it all the time.

  • The police force doesn't need more people like you joining. In fact, they should be weeding them out.

  • Comment removed

  • Not many people can judge a car coming at them in the dark at a rate of 264 feet in 2 sec. This was not the kids fault at all. I appreciate the job good police officers do, but this was no accident, it is called negligence on his part.

He had no business doing that speed period. Cars are not to fuck around with. 1,000,000 people are killed in them each year. That's no joke.

  • Comment removed

  • Some laws suck don't they.

  • Comment removed

  • If someone is defending something that is wrong, I will jump down your throat. That is just who I am. I disagree with you, the cop is 100% at fault. He should be treated no differently than if a civilian did the same thing.

  • Comment removed

  • Defending something thats wrong won't get you very far? To late, I am far in life. Who the fuck asked you anyway? Can't Lonewolf stick up for himself? I suppose you think it was the kids fault too. Yah and you think you and your dumb friend should be a cops. I've seen one of your video's selling a car with illegal window tint. You guys have no ethics or morals.

  • DichWillen yes in America the police do by LAW have to use lights and siren when responding to a call. Look it up it is a law. That is why the officer was arrested after the accident. He is at full 100% responsible for those teens death. They weren't breaking any traffic laws when they made there left hand turn. They could not have seen a speeding police car coming at them at 90 plus miles per hour. His actions were definetly criminal!!

  • @sumofnone3 I agree with your statement about the police not using lights and sirens, but in all facts... the car did turn left in front of him, which is against the law to "under estimate traffic" or "failure to make a left hand turn"

I know myself, I can tell when a car is flying towards me and when a car is just driving the speed limit...

  • they said that the computer in the car recorded that he had he had the pedal floored and he didn't hit his brakes until like.06 seconds before impact... he clearly wasn't watching the road while traveling at an insane speed. I don't want to hear anything about the Teens, he hit them and he killed them.

  • You are correct. Pedal was at 100%

I have a copy of the warrant application.

  • That's crazy the cop should have known better 90 mph on a back street at night with no siren or lights. State Police did the right thing by arresting the cop for what he did. I feel sorry for those kids they did not wrong.

  • This is terrible.

You could see sparks fly when they crashed!

  • Wow! That's something. The teens didn't have a chance, especially because depth perception is decreased when it's dark -- they couldn't tell how close the cruiser was when they turned. 90 on a thoroughfare like in the video is ludicrous.

  • excellent point

  • Thanks.

  • It's BS that he's on paid leave for that. For crying out loud he killed two people! How in hell's name do you get paid to kill to people when you're real job is to protect them? Absolutely Absurd!

  • Wow, I see this on a DAILY basis here in Northern BC too!! So Sad they think they do not need lights or sirens on.

  • Police officers are not required to run with lights and sirens on when responding to a call. Indeed, lights and sirens tend to distract other drivers, lock up traffic, and cause more overall harm than good. Rarely do I see officers responding to a call with lights on unless performing a traffic stop to signify a driver to pull over.

Of course, these officers weren't responding TO a call but were instead coming FROM a call, so why they were speeding is unknown. Perhaps there is more to know.

  • In Canada they are required by law to have both emergency lights and siren on when responding to a call.

  • That may be true, but this occurred in Connecticut. They may feasibly not have the same laws.

  • Well you sounded sure that they don't have to. Do you know? Besides they were both speeding regardless if they were responding to a call or not. I don't believe it does more harm to have lights and sirens going, particularly at night. I have almost been hit twice in the past year because of this same thing.

  • They weren't even responding to a call. They were on the way back from helping another town break up a bar fight

  • Yes I know.

  • tómala , chin que gacho

  • That is so sad.
