Yes he did mean Superior Vena Cava and Inferior Vena cavae. I caught that too and his slip up calling an atrium an aorta. Was a slip of the tongue. Despite what Freud said. lol
In humans the superior vena cava drains the top of the body. In other air breathing vertebrates this vein is referred to as the anterior vena cava.
The vein referred to as the inferior vena cava in humans drains the bottom of the body and is referred to as the posterior vena cava in other air breathing vertebrates.
I use the names anterior and posterior vena cava because I need my grade 12 biology class to recognize the names of each, in humans and in other vertebrates.
Thank you for this wonderful insight. With the option of letting morons post videos on YouTube, it's nice to know that I can still sift through the crap and find things like this that will help me to understand.
Neat, although I won't differ i´m more inclined to see it as major circulation, minor circulation, and a motor (heart) to pump both, instead of seeing it as three systems. but that's only names. nice work!

I think it is superior(top) and inferior(bottom) Vena cava, not anterior(front) or posterior(back) vena cava
