Eternal Punishment is damanation. Damanation has a wider meaning than is at once apparent from modern usage. It is the opposite of salvation, and exists in varying degrees. Immortality is different from eternal life. Through the resurrection everyone will become immortal- meaning we will live forever and is a free gift to everyone, whether your wicked or righteous however eternal life is not.

The Melchizedek was restored when Christ came to give it to the Jews and to began to build up the Church among them. However it was lost again by apostasy, & was taken away again from the earth.
It was restored to the earth by Peter, James and John, who literally came to Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery in the spring of 1821 and conferred this power and authority upon them D&C 27:12-13). Later, Moses, Elias, and Elijah gave them further keys by which these brethren could use the Melchizedek Priesthood in additional ways (D&C 110). The president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the president of the high or Melchizedek priesthood, and by virtue of this position, he
holds all of the keys that pertain to the kingdom of God here on the earth. This office or calling is held by only one man at a time, and he is the only person on the earth at that time in whom all the powers and keys of the High Priesthood are functional. Why don't you look at the Joseph Smith- Matthew in the back in the Pearl of Great Price. Matthew 23:39 and chapter 24. Through Christ we can be cleansed from sin. God sent His Beloved Son, Jesus Christ into the world so that all God's children would have the possiblity of returning to live in His presence after they die. Only through the Savior's grace and mercy can we become clean from sin so that we can live in our Heavenly Fathers presence. Hey the LDS church needs to get off their high horse and realize they are not the same chosen people that the tribes of Israel are. Every scripture in the Old and New Testaments are talking about the Jews. The church has taken the free gift of Grace and discounted it. All members have been told that the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, the only begotten was not enough and every LDS member has to pay Jesus back, He is the debt collector.

True that the living12 apostles are not any different race as of yet. But if you look at the pictures of the Seventy you will see different races. You want biblical proof that are really apostles Eph. 2:19-20; 4:11-14. The Church of Jesus Christ is built on the foundation of apostles and prophets. These leaders have divine priesthood authority. Through revelation they direct the affairs of the Church.

Anyway, Jesus never held a standard to the church. He considered all churches his own. These steps to a true church are MAN made and serve only MAN to satisfy his definition of a church. This is a problem. You quote from LDS doctrine and it doesn't make much sense to most people. Some of these are even blasphemous to most Christians. And another big one is God said his word stands forever and it will not change. So which one is the word of God, you can't have both since you believe the Bible was not translated correctly. You are "not" saved by works and how worthy you are. It is by faith in Jesus. In 2Nephi it states you are saved after all you can do. The Bible clearly states not to follow prophets bringing different gospels. The front of the Book of Mormon states another gospel, it is different. The articles of faith criticize the Bible. Gordon B. Hinkley said we worship a different Jesus. Yet God said his word "the Bible" will stand forever. You cannot have it both ways because there is only 1 truth.
James says "What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? If a brother or sister be nacked, & destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be warmed & filled; nonwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? Have you done all you can do? Are you going to heaven? You never really know in the church. Everyone strives and hopes that they go to the celestial kingdom. You would never have enough pride to say that you are going to heaven, this just wouldn't be right. The 8th article of faith clearly states that We believe the Bible to be the Word of God as far as it's translated correctly and we also believe the Book of Mormon is the Word of God. As church members we are encouraged to study the Bible and follow its teachings and is a witness for God and Jesus Christ. We are also encouraged to study the BOM which deal with the people on this continent is a second witness to the Bible. The authenticity or truth of this book comes from God.
As promised in the BOM, anyone can know of its truth by reading it and asking God with a sincere heart and with real intent to know that it is true see Moroni 10:3-5. "With real intent" means that those who are asking must be willing or committed to act upon a manifestation once its received or otherwise there is no promise. The Holy Ghost confirms the truth by revelation directly to the indivdual. All other authenticity of the BOM are secondary.
Millions of people have testified that they have received a personal witness from God by the power of the Holy Ghost that the Book of Mormon is true. We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God born of the Virgin Mary and believe that he died and was Resurrected on the 3rd day just like other christian religions do. But what sets us apart is we believe that God the Father and Jesus Christ are two seperate people and they both have have flesh and bone. We also believe that they are one in purpose.
The only thing left out,is that the TRUE Church also offers you a challeng to just ask god if these things be true or not,ask him,he will tell you,that is only if you are ready and really want to know....

If a temple marriage is necessary for eternal life, why isn't it ever mentioned in the Bible (or the Book of Mormon)? Jesus taught that there would be no marriages in heaven (see Luke 20:34-35).

Why the different editions? the 1830 edition,1964 edition? Was the first one wrong? Did it need changing?
And when are the Indians going to turn white?

God commanded Abraham to do it in Abraham 2:23-24 when they were going in Egypt because if the Egyptians saw her they would say she is his wife; and would kill Abraham and save her. Now if he'd rebelled against the Lord God his covenant people wouldn't be around and then the nation of Israel would not be established. And YES I have been saved.

Huge difference! The BOM says God told him to lie. The Bible Abraham Lied! Do you see the difference? If God told someone to lie, he would be going against his own word and make his word false! Clearly you do not know LDS church history or you would now that there were 8 others witnesses who saw the Gold Plates for themselves and to be special witnesses of the truth & divinity of the BOM. Their written testimonies can be found on the next page in "The Testimony of the Three Witnesses" and the "Testimony of the Eight Witnesses". 2 outta the 3 witnesses came back and also none never denied seeing and touching the plates. Moroni's challenge in ch.10:3-5 read it and pray abot it.

Eternal Punishment is damanation. Damanation has a wider meaning than is at once apparent from modern usage. It is the opposite of salvation, and exists in varying degrees. All who do not obtain the fulness of celestial exaltation will to some degree be limited in their progress and privileges, and hence be damned to that extent in other words a lesser glory. See. Matt 23:14,33; Mark 3:29; 16:16; john 5:29; Rom. 13:2; 1 Cor.11:29.

Matt 23 is the Seven Woes, no differnet levels of hell? Mark 3:29 against the Holy Spirit, the first commandment, also the unforgivable sin! Mark 16:16 hello, if you do not believe you are not saved! Actually they are in the pearl of great price in Moses 1:39 when the Lord God reveals himself to Moses. He tells Moses For behold, this is my work & my glory to bring to pass the immortality & eternal life of man. This can also be found Psalms 90:16; Matt.5:48; Rom.8:14-21. Immortality is different from eternal life. Through the resurrection everyone will become immortal- meaning we will live forever and is a free gift to everyone, whether your wicked or righteous however eternal life is not.

It comes to those who are FREED from SIN and SUFFERING through the Atonement of Christ. It's exaltation, which means living with God forever in eternal families. The Melchizedek Priesthood was first made known to Adam, and the patriarchs and prophets in every dispensation had this authority D&C 84:6-17. When the children of Isreal failed to live up to the privileges and covenants the Lord took away the higher and gave them the lesser or the Law of Moses. The Melchizedek was restored when Christ came to give it to the Jews and to began to build up the Church among them. However it was lost again by apostasy, & was taken away again from the earth.

Why don't you look at the Joseph Smith- Matthew in the back in the Pearl of Great Price. Matthew 23:39 and chapter 24. Moroni quotes third, fourth chapters of Malachi verses differently in Joseph Smith- History. Joseph Smith translation at the back of your Bible: these were to long to be in the footnotes. Also in your footnotes at the bottom of the page will sometimes will have a JST of how it should read.

Through Christ we can be cleansed from sin. God sent His Beloved Son, Jesus Christ into the world so that all God's children would have the possiblity of returning to live in His presence after they die. Only through the Savior's grace and mercy can we become clean from sin so that we can live in our Heavenly Fathers presence. Becoming clean from sin is being healed spiritually (3rd Nephi 9:13 & 18:32). B/C of the Atonement and Resurrection, everyone will be brought back to be judged

Yes, still a member. I have found things in the Bible that don't agree with LDS doctrine. What are you supposed to do? The Bible has quite a few verses talking about "other" gospels. I don't know anyone in the church that can tell me which verses in the Bible that are not translated correctly.

Hey the LDS church needs to get off their high horse and realize they are not the same chosen people that the tribes of Israel are. Every scripture in the Old and New Testaments are talking about the Jews. The church has taken the free gift of Grace and discounted it. All members have been told that the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, the only begotten was not enough and every LDS member has to pay Jesus back, He is the debt collector.

The response from almost every LDS member will be, "OK, faith only?" Then you can go out and smoke and drink and kill people. Who did Jesus seek out when he was ministering? The sinners and lowly of the earth! He talked extensively about hope and forgiveness. He also told the apostles no one could get to heaven. What to do? Search the word of God "the Bible" and you will find the truth. Now, does the LDS church teach another gospel?

True that the living12 apostles are not any different race as of yet. But if you look at the pictures of the Seventy you will see different races. You want biblical proof that are really apostles Eph. 2:19-20; 4:11-14. The Church of Jesus Christ is built on the foundation of apostles and prophets. These leaders have divine priesthood authority. Through revelation they direct the affairs of the Church.

This is a problem. You quote from LDS doctrine and it doesn't make much sense to most people. Some of these are even blasphemous to most Christians. And another big one is God said his word stands forever and it will not change. So which one is the word of God, you can't have both since you believe the Bible was not translated correctly. Do you know who Jesus really is? When you do know it will change your life.

Actually we believe both books support each other. The book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and a second witness to the Bible. Joseph Smith taught that the Book of Mormon could bring a man closer to God than any other book. And is a volume of standard works of the Church. The Book of Mormon is a collection of writings and teachings of the ancient prophets and followers of Jesus Christ who lived in the Americas from 590 BC to 421 AD.

The Brother of Jared who saw the Lord because of his faith Either 3:7-16. Samuel the Lamanite Prophesied of Christ's coming and gave the signs of his birth and death Helaman 13-14. These are the people that Christ told his Apostles about in John 10:16.

You are "not" saved by works and how worthy you are. It is by faith in Jesus. In 2Nephi it states you are saved after all you can do. The Bible clearly states not to follow prophets bringing different gospels. The front of the Book of Mormon states another gospel, it is different. The articles of faith criticize the Bible. Gordon B. Hinkley said we worship a different Jesus. Yet God said his word "the Bible" will stand forever. You cannot have it both ways because there is only 1 truth.

Have you done all you can do? Are you going to heaven? You never really know in the church. Everyone strives and hopes that they go to the celestial kingdom. You would never have enough pride to say that you are going to heaven, this just wouldn't be right. God has given all of us a great and magnificent gift and the church has said to Jesus, NO we cannot accept this gift, we will work and pay for our own sins and we will pay you back.

The 8th article of faith clearly states that We believe the Bible to be the Word of God as far as it's translated correctly and we also believe the Book of Mormon is the Word of God. As church members we are encouraged to study the Bible and follow its teachings and is a witness for God and Jesus Christ. We are also encouraged to study the BOM which deal with the people on this continent is a second witness to the Bible. The authenticity or truth of this book comes from God.

As promised in the BOM, anyone can know of its truth by reading it and asking God with a sincere heart and with real intent to know that it is true see Moroni 10:3-5. "With real intent" means that those who are asking must be willing or committed to act upon a manifestation once its received or otherwise there is no promise. The Holy Ghost confirms the truth by revelation directly to the indivdual. All other authenticity of the BOM are secondary.

Millions of people have testified that they have received a personal witness from God by the power of the Holy Ghost that the Book of Mormon is true. We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God born of the Virgin Mary and believe that he died and was Resurrected on the 3rd day just like other christian religions do. But what sets us apart is we believe that God the Father and Jesus Christ are two seperate people and they both have have flesh and bone. We also believe that they are one in purpose.
