Fun game

Just a quick question. Can you flood the nile when you are still at 0 niles? When playing, we decided this was possible due to the way the board game version works. In the board game you can have a flood token prior to any niles.

In many ways, RA was a dice game as it was..completely chance-reliant.

Now this looks like a good yahtzee style game. I like yahtzee's dice mechanics, but disliked the lack of strategy.

RA dice looks a bit light on theme, but far better than standard Yahtzee.

Are there any other good yahtzee+strategy games out there?

Thanks Tom! We initially loved Ra, but stopped playing it because one player would always invoke Ra to force an auction over and over and over... it became tedious... it was a shame, because except for that we loved the game. So it sounds like this would be a perfect replacement!

It used to be easy to predict whether Tom liked a game or not well before he gave his final verdict.

This game looks like fun, but is there really much choice involved? That's my own problem with dice games as who wins usually always comes down to luck. But, that usually doesn't bother me unless a game pretends to be a strategy game (cough cough risk cough) with is constantly undermind by dice. But, this game looks fun and the board and dice look good.

i cant say i have ever thought a dice game looked interesting, and i usually only play them except with yatzee with my wife, but this looks good to me.
