its just that Len and Rin don't sing a lot of happy-ending songs. They sing sad/horror more than happy. Which usally ends up with SOMEONE dying. (Note the usally and someone.) Mostly Rin since she sings quite a lot of the tragic songs of the two; fear garden, daughter/princess of evil etc. But not all of them. Just because they are sad don't mean they die. :P

Rin is not always Len's twin. Depending on the story, she can be his lover, his friend, or his twin. There are plenty of songs where Rin is not depicted as Len's twin sister.

It's based on the times with the situation with the Nazis and the Jews. In the story, Len is a Jew and the girl he gives his paper planes to is Rin. And Rin's father works where Len is kept captive.

@788422 As far as Crypton, the creators, say, there's no definite relationship between the two. What you see them as, and their relationship from song to song is exactly that- your choice. That's why, in some songs, they are obviously a couple, (such as this one) and in others, they are clearly siblings (the Daughter of Evil series).
