One of the things I like most about Billy is the crispiness and cleanliness, if you will, of his playing. No matter how simple or complex a beat, or a fill he's playing, you can practically hear every note, every stroke of his sticks and bass pedal, every touch on his hi-hat and swish on his cymbals. Truly, truly, truly an amazing drummer.
thats the state of the art drummer nobody can do better or with more feeling he plays freaking 64th notes like nothing i love him since i am 13 and i am 49 and there was never a better album then this i bought it like 10 times
Instead of criticism, I advocate APPRECIATION for ALL OF THESE MUSICIANS. Thanks for posting this video, a good rendition to Billy and the other masters on that gig...
by the way, the bassist is German, Stefan Rademacher... a monster and an idol of mine...
Everytime i see a video of him playing, though i had seen it many times, there's always something magic and i can't do anything else than watching him playing and listen his awesome sound and groove!!!!
billy never ceases to amaze me he s the reason I play drums all the new cats have all these chops goin off which is great but somehow dont have that cobham style or uniqueness he s quite simply the best 4 me.
Nope. Doesn't play with RH Factor anymore. He plays consistantly w/ Marcus, and besides that, he only own his "Full Of Soul" band with Bobby Sparks and JT. I'm expecting to hear more new things from him soon.
Cobham's all-time classic. This is the best version on the net for sure. Great stuff - I keep coming back to it. Thanks for the posting!

Have you checked Les Mccann out since you posted thaiscomment? I didn´t recognise him at first here even though I´ve been listening to him for years.
He´s really getting on a bit here but in his day he was a real Don on the keyboards. If you haven´t heard "compared toi what" its worth a listen

Hi all,
Mr. Duke has given us a special treat.
Lookup Les McCann's "Sometimes I Cry" on YouTube.
Sit back and learn Les. Then come back here, after considering that he did "...Cry" in 1975.
Listen to his chords and hear his genius. He is an icon for my generation.
