these kids that have never played a vinyl record in their lives ,and then commenting on the sound quality are just ignorant . they probably have only heard the lame sister act version of this great record . the same kids that can not do math because of the invention of the calculator .and soon wont be able to find their way home without the aide of the GPS on their iphone. thanks for posting .i was able to learn all the chords to this great record thanks to you!

This is a great song. You must really be a zombie if you don't get goosebumps, even if you aren't a churchgoer. This record was a "Top 40" hit in about 1969, perhaps the only recent gospel number to reach that level of sales, just before Big Red, the horse (Secretariat) was born. The song was also used in the recent movie "Secretariat."
This was my copy I had sitting in my collection for like 25 years.. lol. I recently picked up another copy that isn't on styrene but it's nearly as scratchy.. always liked this, must have been an early Stereo 45... in the late 60's most 45's were still made in mono for some reason!
