  • Love this song!

I think the Damned version is brilliant too.

I just love the rhythm and hook and the song. Pure rock n roll. Yeahhhhh!!!!!

  • The strange thing is, that woman could quite easily be passed off as Rob Tyner in a dimly lit room

  • This must've sounded great in person ... Too bad that you were too close to the other guitarist's amp ; but , that's not your fault , as that was your only spot to be at .

Would've liked to have seen Brother Wayne do his famous "Moon Walk" ( yes , he was the FIRST to do that !!! ) ; but , I also realise that he was 58 when this show took place (!!)

The female singer does the late Tyner some justice :-)

  • What chord shape is the rhythm guitarist using? Doesn't look like a standard barre or power chord.

  • mike davis, what a survivor

  • Let's be honest...THIS IS SHIT....heh heh....

  • does any one have the mc5 studio version of looking at you(not live, even though thats ace to).

  • this dosent sound right without a late 60's marshall

  • Fred and Wayne never used a marshall. They used SUNN amps from 67- 72, and then switched to Orange amps.

  • @PeterCRissKISSgod

    False!

  • @PeterCRissKISSgod is wrong. Other videos from YT show them using Marshalls at an outdoor gig.

  • @PeterCRissKISSgod

They used plenty of Marshall as the Tartar Field footage and inner sleeve of Hightime would indicate. The Orange amps were housebrand for the German TV show.

  • no one can compare this Group to the MC5 live at The Crows Nest East,The Dancing Domes, Silver Bell or The Grande Ballroom back in 69 and 70.

  • thanks for the vid, but why are you filming the filler guitarist 79% of the time?

  • this aint the MC5!!......what the feck?!......haha!......ROB TYNER RIP love! xoxoxox

  • Last I checked, Wayne Kramer was still alive. And that's him on guitar.

  • Always good to see anything up on youtube, but this definitely doesn't do them justice. The combo I saw a couple of years back was first fucking rate....totally raw and real these years later and Lisa KICKED ASS.....

  • GO BELLRAYS...

  • rob tyner roxx

  • Why is the camera man focusing on this goober trying to play Sonic and ignoring Wayne? B.S.!

  • why why why would you watch this shit when you can see the real thing these guys and all others that cover the 5 fail in comparison there is no copmparison. fuck where the revolution in this?

  • I don't se where your beef is, as this band comprises of 3/5 of the MC5. On the other hand, I can see where your beef is in that NO ONE can top Rob Tyner...

  • Those who can - do

    Those who can't - teach

Those who can't do either - critique...

  • no they don't....they teach gym

  • see that honky on rhythm guitar just aint got the soul sonic had...all rock and no roll.where did the roll go man? loosen up brother.

  • I think rock & roll got a divorce sometime in the 70s. No seriously, I get what you're saying. Rockers today might know how to slam but few really groove and flow as they did in the 60s. The MC5 was a SWINGING band.

  • I agree with you about that. They play fast and they play sharp but they don't have the groove. More soul would make it.

  • lol, i soo wanna hear her do kick out the jams!!!

  • wow, the first time I heard this song (just the other day, the original mc5) I thought it would be a great cover for my female fronted band (takingdaggers) and here it is, being done by a very large afro-american woman. go figure

  • Lisa is very large in her vocal talent, physically, she's rather petite. Guess you've never met her in person.

  • she does a great job..

  • I saw this show in LA. Lisa jumped into the audience to get the sitting people to stand. Incredible show. I just posted from video from Lisa's band, The Bellrays. Lisa is one of the most underrated singers on the scene today. SUPPORT THE BELLRAYS!

  • that what happens when you take a hit and turn it into bullsh**

  • Michael Davis: Brother Adam Pearson from Sisters of Mercy...

  • The Guitar Adam Pearson is The Ssisters of Mercy

  • yes it is Adam Pearson. I updated the video info.

  • The other guitarist is Adam Pearson from the Sisters of Mercy, a guest on the tour. I think that's him, anyone wanna confirm?

  • who's the guitarist (not wayne)? And what's with his metalriff, lol. I wanna marry that afrowoman though xD so awesome. Have she done any other music? Soul?

  • That's Lisa, lead singer of the Bell Rays.

  • I guess you need an "Afro" to sing lead on this song!

  • jaja, toch n goeie 'montage' hoor ;)
