  • Never met a lazier bunch of bastards than BA cabin crew

  • Cabin Service Directors on the old contract could well be on over £60k. I don't think I'd need CC to get me to get through a door and jump down a slide in an emergency . MIxed Fleet seems to be doing okay. It will be gradually expanded. So I fear BASSA's cause is lost.

  • The lady was just sick! Who gives a shit ? This happens all the time. i love BA though!

  • Proud to be british!

  • Excelent words!

  • @panzerkw

Are you searous?? Your opinion is soo stupid it dosent even count ! God just when i thought i couldnt meet anyone thicker than i have i do ! Retarded people like youself never cease to amaze me .Ohh and by the way Eithad have lost luggage and also have gay cabin crew ( not that that makes any difference)

  • flying waiters.go and get a real job and leave womans work for the woman.

  • @stublue44

Are you refering to male cabin crew ? For a start they are not flying waiters far from it and men are entitled to do what ever job they like jast as women are ! And tahts the way things are wheither u like it or not and let me taall ya it aint gunna change ! :D

  • @Locker10a ermm yes they are basically flying waiters. Oh the safety course, basic very basic and a first aid at work certificate. Tea or coffee sir?

  • @chaz01br Are you searous ?? You think Cabin crew safety traning is basic !! hahaha thats a good one!!! your funny :D Dont comment about somthing you clearly know nothing about!! The only person who comes across as "basic " is you . Haha

  • @Locker10a ah now that would be your mistake! I work as a Navigator on offshore boats. We crew change by helo. This requires safety training from a helo ditching in water using breathing apparatus and involves it going under the water inverted. A bit more involved than going down a slide and a few pool drills. A bit more fire fighting as well. So £45k for senior long haul cabin crew too much for a flying waiter/waitress. BA is loosing money hand over fist and they don't think theres a problem!

  • @chaz01br Im very aware of the training you do to save your own ass in a helo ditching ! This does not mean the extensive training cabin crew go through to save the passengers ass ! They are not now nor will they ever be flying waitreses ! Im sorry no matter how much you want them to be . As for pay their no1 role is Safety then a ervice( this varys depending on airline) If Life gaurds and Hotel receptionists get paid more for only being resopncable for one role they why shouldnt cabin

  • @Locker10a crew be paid the same/simular for doin both ??

  • @Locker10a I wander how many have ever put their #1 service into that role not many! Thus revert to their main role serving meals drinks etc. Whilst I would pay them more for this than in a cafe/restaurant not £45k a year. Hotel receptionists are also responscible for the safety of their guests. It does not take long to learn how to get into a liferaft and slide down a chute or operate a fire extinguisher. BA used to be ok I would now rate them same as KLM but they are cheaper. Flying waitress!

  • @chaz01br Im sorry you dont get paid 45k a year ! Very fre Cabin crew do you know ust a select few ! I dont know what you get paid and its not my place to say who should get paid what nor is it yours ! The job is so much more than a flying waitress and it is infact quite insulting to say that . Please goole Barbra Jane Harrison read about her and what she did then find me a "waitress" who has done the same .

  • @Locker10a After that Find me a Restaurant who train the staff to evacuate a building in 90 seconds , who teach crowd controll, extensive first aid and firefighting along with secuarity and how to restrain passengers .Stop being so derogative twords people! Think if you are on a plane with you family or your elderly mother is flying alone and becomes ill who will look after her in the air where there is no ambulance ? Who will ensure your chrildren are fitted with correct lifejacket ? Cabin crew

  • @Locker10a Its simple just treat others as you would like them to treat you be the presidents , priests ,crew , waiters i doesnt matter who it is there is no excuse to ignore simple manners

  • @Locker10a you are right I don't get paid £45k a year I get £66k basic a year + bonuses but I work for a company that reported $1.2 billion profit last year. I think that those on strike are greedy BA is £580 mill in debt and wants to try and save their jobs by taking 1 person off a flight. If they don't like BA go to a different airline, but no because BA pay the most! The lady in question because of the time is why she got the GC prob wouldn't have awarded nowadays. If not flying waiters what?

  • @chaz01br Your right maby "some" are greedy , but no matter what job you do in any industry there will be those who are greedy even in your company there are greedy people :O . That does not give you the right to look on cabin crew as scum . They are not fly waiters . Airlines may use them to do similar work but they are a legal requirment onbord and not to serve tea!!Shock horror shock ? The are part of a team that ensure passenger safety and as passengers that means thay are there for our

  • @Locker10a safety. As i said think of your family and friends next time they fly with any airline and think who is goin to help them when the shit hits the fan . The waitresses will be far below on the grounf :D As for Jane Harrison are you saying she didnt deserve her reward ? I should hope not i would like to see what you would do in her situation . Save your own ass like you are trained to do id say

  • @Locker10a I didn't look at all your comments. Extensive fire fighting training? What the most you have is an extinguisher, you get taught 5 man hatch re-entry technics, think not! If they are there just for safety and only that then they shouldn't serve meals tea etc get someone else but then bring down their pay as they are not carrying out the service role. Oh yea would I cope in her situation ermm yes without a doubt. Forgot to mention my previous proffesion ex military nuff said Afghanistan

  • @chaz01br Its more fire fighting training than waiters and hotel receptionists get isisnt it though! As i said theay are legaly requires for safety purposes only the Airlines use them for other various reasons. If Airlines were to hire sepweate cabin crew and waiters this would mean even more wages to pay ! I thought you said BA were trying to save money. Considering you backroundim surprised that you cannot see these people have a searous side to their job and respect that instead of talking

  • @Locker10a down about them . You see cabin crew serving meals therefore you see them as waiters. I see military personal killing people there fore i see them as paid murders! im of course speaking hypotheticly! I respect your choosen work and i respect the job entailments this is somthing i suggest you do to

  • @Locker10a You would be right to see militry personnel as trained killers they are it's their primary role! Head purser BA £60k +, fast jet pilot £45k wee bit of difference. I respect cabin crew as better trained than waiters on the ground but they think they are worth more than they are. If they were there only for safety then a max of 6 or less would be needed for longhaul as they wouldn't serve drinks etc! The pay they get is more than enough but BA is in debt they should realise this!

  • @chaz01br hmm, lets think about train staff. The staff members that push the trolley on national express trains earn £22,000 a year. Train guards make £30,000 a year and train drivers £50,000 a year. And you think BA Cabin Crew are overpaid? Rediculous.

  • @FlightCrewWannaBe yep I agree members that push trolleys on trains should be paid less but BA cabin crew are well overpaid. If they don't like BA go to another airline simple. I have a flight coming up to Australia so hopefully they will go on strike then my company won't book with the overpaid underworked lazy cabin crew of BA.

  • @chaz01br

    1) no such thing as "head purser" Neither purser or CSD are on that salary, dream on.

    2) So you don't mind if there is no crew member at a Door to get you out in an emergency. Ha!

    3) you obviously know nothing about BA crew or BA commercial flights!

  • @chaz01br you are clearly wrong its not Ryanair its British Airways they are known for there Quality of service

  • @chaz01br They are taught to - enter pitch dark smoke filled fuselage and rescue people trapped under seats, in toilets etc Smoke Hood on. Quite disorientating to do. They are trained to put fires out with 2 different ext. They are taught to move a bomb and make it as safe as possible, they are taught to disable people when necessary, they are also taught to do Defib, CPR and deliver babies and much more. Then there are drills: ditchings , land evac , depressur.., medical, deaths. Waiter?

  • thats an actress

  • You are all evil! Where are your priorities? I hope you will be seriously ill on a plane and nobody will care as there will be 18yrs old paid £2hr and just there for few months! I was going to work because of you passengers but no,I will stay home enjoying you crying about your holiday given the respect for my job!

  • U r all evil, where are your priorities? As a BA crew member I hope one day you are seriously ill on a plane and nobody will give a shit because they are just 18 yrs old who are just there for few month paid £2 hr . I was going to work because of you pax,now I'm going to stay home and enjoy you lot crying over your holidays given the kind of respect and consideration you give to my job!

  • Nice story, Crew doing their job. Oh wait, now they aren't ! Kudos to those seeing past the me me me of the strikers and bassa and Unite. Whats the betting the crew in the story are still working and those on strike would be the ones shoveling you off the plane.

  • Cabin Crew work hard, Pilots at BA are really thinking of their own right now. Walsh is not leading a team, just sticking to his ignorant leadership style. Wrecked human relations in BA, created a toxic culture of fear, created dreadful PR for BA. He needs to go in order to re instate sanity to this great airline. Harvard, this is how NOT TO LEAD YOUR TROOPS!

  • Oh wow, they realised someone was ill and were nice about it. That doesn't mean they are entitled to ruin people's holidays and potentially cost the jobs of thousands of pilots, ground staff and others because they lost their perks which they had no real entitlement to. BA needed to save the money they lost from them going on strike, so it makes sense to not give them free things when they maliciously strike during one of the busiest periods of the year and terrorise other members of cabin crew.

  • Clearly not BASSA lazy backsliders involved - the union would not allow them to behave like that

  • fuck unite. I was booked on the they fucking unite striked like a baby. That day was so shitty I always cursed unite bitched to die like pigs. They should be grateful to have jobs like this while most others are still unemployed.. so FUCK YOU UNITE!

  • @urashimakeitaro22

now now, watch your language bottom hole

  • WHO THE FUCK ARE THEY TO BE CALLED HEROES. The real heroes are people serving without replacement of gratitude or payment and serving his or her country unselfishly. SO FUCK YOU UNITE BITCH.

  • The BA cabin crew are lazy, illiterate scum who get paid more than nurses do and for a third of the effort or skill. You dont deserve more money, you dont deserve to have jobs, you dont deserve to be British. Stop holding innocent people to ransom for your own selfish greed. Be assured if i see any BA cabin Crew striking i will get out of my car and smash the fucking lot of you. SCUM.

  • @BozoEngland

i love the cabin crew, i once had sex with one in the toilet, it was lovely ,but my arse was a little battered

  • @BozoEngland You wouldn't have the balls mate. Let's meet so I can knock your fucking teeth out!!!!!

  • @BozoEngland you are a fucking arse hole...you only hate BA cause you can't afford a ticket on them...TWAT!

  • I have to agree with the BA plans to drop at least 1 crew member per flight. After all there were enough spare crew hanging around on this ladies flight to have 3 of them pampering her until the end of the flight..... One would have thought that one qualified EFR would have been enough.

  • mmmm I find this hard to believe - wrote a glowing letter to customer services myself after I got great service and was looked after, and had a lovely email back!

  • jus u clm dwn we will lke to see u saving someones life kk im writing to richardeast and hunka007 coz ur not a hunk kk :L:L:L

  • @tortillawrap5000 I've personally saved 4 lives over 3 occasions. I once saved a couple and a professional scuba instructor in a storm 3 miles from the mainland after the instructor was knocked unconscious and the pickup boat ran aground on rocks. But of course I would never never compare my personal experiences to BA crew calling an ambulance and giving out cups of water....... Thank god they knew how to follow a guideline and saved this woman's life.

  • @ulrikwolfsbane

Ohh come on ! Yes you saved a life and you deserve credit , cabin crew have also done so ! Hovever in this case you wernt there so you dont know exactly what happened ! But if u were really ill and on your own on a plane and the crew onboard were all gathered round you do what they can for you nd writing to you after the incidnt you also would feel grate full to them ! Traveling alone can be lonly and cabin crew being there when you need them most would really mean alot 2 me

  • Heroes?! don't make me laugh.

  • Hero? Huh? Cabin crew are required to take basic first aid, offered as a half day or one day course. But if this woman wants to believe that the staff are heros, let her. She was a bit delusional while they were hauling her off the aircraft......

  • british cabin crew are heroes?try the men and women in afghanistan who are risking being blown to peices on a wage considerably smaller than those who work for british airways.they are the heroes

  • @ellisqpr86 Come on give some credit. She said she was really really ill, and the crew gave her lots of water and asked the pilot to call for an ambulance.

How can you compare troops in a warzone to heroism like that??????

  • It's interesting the lady provides no information on her condition and exactly what the crew did to help. Anyway, all the strike is doing is delaying the inevitable. BA needs to cut costs to remain competitive. I applaud Walsh and BA management for revoking travel privileges and pay from Unite members that participated. Unite will be on its knees for BA. Management is showing Unite who REALLY is in charge.

  • @737823 BA has been fucked up by incompetent managers and now they expect the workers to pay. If Little Willy Walsh and his cronies were serious about securing the airlines future they could have forgone their multi-million pound bonuses.

  • I am glad she got medical personnel see after the flight. And I am glad she was able to go home and write BA a greatr letter commending her crew. I am glad I have gotten so many letters from wonderful passengers on my past flights. My and my teams have always been concerned about sick passengers. I hope BA Cabin Crews and Senior Management work things out in for an agreement. I hope so....

  • And in terms of equality with our visually challanged brothers and sisters can we have that comment in audio?

  • Hopefully some of those crew are ones that will be crossing the picket lines to keep British Airways flying.

  • Hopefully some of these crew are ones that will be on a picket line standing up to the bullies at BA

  • Are you referring to the "bullies" that pay their Cabin Crew more than any other airline in the U.K.?

The public has seen the pathetically small rallies with Cabin Crew displaying images of Mr. Walsh as Hitler, the pig masks. The public has heard the lies regarding 20 planes parked at Cardiff, only 6 Cabin Crew crossed the picket lines, T5 as a ghost town.

The public knows who the real bullies are.

  • After god had finished the rattlesnake, the toad and the vampire, he had some awful substance left with which he made a SCAB. A scab is a two-legged animal with a cork-screw soul, a water-logged brain and a combination backbone made of jelly and glue. Where others have hearts he carries a tumour full of rotton principles. A strikebreaker is a traitor to his god, his country, his family and his class.

  • Hitler number 2, clearly.
