@ZMhunter isso não é verdade rottweilers são extremamente fiéis aos seus donos pelo resto de suas vidas, os ataques que vemos são de cães na mão de pessoas erradas. Mas a raça rottweiler de um modo geral é maravilhosa sou veterinaria e tenho exemplares dessa raça a mais de 15 anos nunca tive problema com nenhum dos meus cães.

omggg enough of the "docking the tail is cruel". it's done before they develop nerves and bones in the tail so they don't feel anything. usually they're done with a tight band that stops circulation and the tail falls off. circumsizing a baby boy is just as USELESS and finally, if dog owners think docking the tail is cruel then DON'T NEUTER your dogs cause ask yourself what's worst? the dog losing their tail at birth or losing their balls when they're adolescent.

About Tail docking, not all rotties actually go through a procedure to get their tail docked. New born puppies could already have no tail straight out of the woom.

My brother who has a Rottweiler puppy has a docked tail. Because that's how she born. He owned the mother who also had a docked tail and when he mated her with another male with a docked tail they had puppies who all had docked tails aswell. Some are just born that way. Thank You <3

there is no reason why a rott's tail need to be docked. They use their tails for balance and agility, a lot of people cut their tail just because they think it looks good on the breed but the procedure hurts the dog. :(

@neverwearmyshoes When the tail is being cut the dog is max 11 days old, they don't feel a thing and grow up without a tail so the don't miss it.

Here in Belgium it's forbidden and I think that it is a shame because they will have more pain if some other dog would bite in it or they would break it. They are being used as a working/police dogs so it is better that way.

I know docking the tail is cruel but majority of working dogs have their tails docked so their tails aren't in the way or get badly damaged when working (their tails could get stepped on by cattle, caught in a fence etc. etc.) it's just so the dog doesn't get hurt with having a long tail, it's kinda of a handicap for them when working.

hahah why are people getting upset about dog's tails getting docked? It takes places after birth, same as circumcision or cutting umbilical cord. Gives dog more balance and agility, and said to be healthier for spinal position and hip placement. I much prefer docked tails, expecially on rottweilers

@videomate You can get fooled by a waging tail, go up to a fence where a barking guard dog is. His tail will be waging too while trying to rip your arm off. ....You can tell if a dog is friendly just by it's ears and the level of it's head. When the ears go back and the head is downward he's friendly. If they're both pointed up and out I would be careful.

my girlfriend never liked rotts becasue they scared her until I came home with two 8week old puppies (brother and sister) and she is in love with them now. they are now 9 months old and my girlfriend is amazed that she can put her hands in their mouths and not be scared. when ever she is toching noses' with one of them she says "wow i never imagined i would be touching my nose with a rottweilers nose". as she is then beening attacked with kisses by both of them rolling on the floor =+)
