its an awesome coaster. where did u get all ur custom scenery? like the stairs, supports and brakes. loved the coaster. plz help with the custom scenery though
I've seen several parks list Intamin rides at -1.5 (Colossos at Heide Park and T Express come to mind). Aside from the fact that those hills are traversed very quickly, they have very strong, relatively sustained forces...you'll get right around those high forces for around 1/2 of the concave down part of the hill.
His birail track usage should be perfectly fine. Forces and support placement aren't all that different from those at the end of the Megalites.
Interesting brake run at the end. Different, I liked it. And PLEASE tell me that's a fake trim at 1:05... Or at least a block segment marker to help ease the flow of trains.
Other than that, it was a very smooth ride, I enjoyed it. Just make it a bit more realistic, Intamin (the manufacturer of this sort of ride) does not put two rails in a part where a train is moving at high speed. Basically you have to think about the stress the train puts on the rails (continuing in next comment)
And determine it by how fast it's going and how sharp of a turn. In that turn, I'd ahve put a three-rail part, but at the bottom of the first drop and turn, I'd add a four-rail part (which I think you already did..)
Two rails is ideal if it's going slow, like at the end where it turns back into the station. Three is when stress is present, and four is where there's most stress.
@MrCross0530 I used the birail at the intentionally and oversupported it off of Superman Ride of Steel and the last quarter of the Mega-Lite Layout. And no, the trim is intentional because the ejector on the hills following the trimmed hill peaked -1.2g which are very excessive negative forces. I used to also believe you use more rails for more forceful and more stress full track, but it is actually not true.
@A113Productions I'm aware of the maximum negative G's a human can handle, -1 is the most, but one human can handle MOMENTS of -1.x G's. They shouldn't be more than a split second, but it's always safe to try and get it to stay at -1 at the most.
Also, the Intamin website demonstrates several coasters, I don't see any birail segments until the end of the track, where the train's moving slowly. I've also ridden a LOT of Intamin rides, more than you think. Not once do I remember a birail segment
@MrCross0530 OK. You are looking at the "Intamin website." Great source. How about a picture to prove you wrong rcdb. com/541. htm?p=9471 how about another? rcdb. com/699. htm?p=989 one more? rcdb. com/1412. htm?p=3272
(connect rcdb. and com and the dot and htm? together to make the links work. Youtube doesn't allow links.)
@devilsrule200 Okay, but I'm talking about good looking coasters, these don't look appealing because they're oversupported. I can understand that oversupporting a birail segment is ideal, but I don't like the look of it, but that's just my opinion.
I'm sure there are people out there who like the look of it oversupported, but I would not build a coaster and oversupport it.
@MrCross0530 Um, I really did not want moments of -1.5g on each hill in the latter half, that's pretty obvious rider discomfort. And You have probleably ridden the wrong Intamins, there are several older, and recent ones that have used the Intamin Birail, the Megalites, Superman Ride of Steel at Darien Lake/SFA, California Screamin', Expedition GeForce, etc., etc. I mean the birail segment I have isn't even that stressful, it has a support every 1m of track. Idk about you, but that's fine to me.
@A113Productions I didn't say it was a bad thing, yes rider discomfort, but I'd add them if it's just for a split second. Rides like Fahrenheit and Maverick have them (maverick's is on the last airtime hill before the brake run, Fahrenheit's is a lot more intense, but similar location). I find it really fun, and the intamins I'm referring to are the newer ones. So yeah, I forgot about the older ones. My apology! And even supports every 1m of track can make it stressful, if it's high speed.
@A113Productions But wait, I'm confused, doesn't El Toro have like -1.5 on nearly every hill? Iv'e been on that a few times and thought the strongest air was sustained for about 1 sec. Especially the hill before the twister section. If you know anything about this could you please explain to me?
@coast4airtime1 Yeah but I really didn't want that much airtime on my ride, oh well. I tested my ride without trims and it wasn't that bad.. -1.5 at the most, and a couple other moments of -1.3. But oh well, I didn't really care in this ride that much.
@A113Productions halfway through the ride. It was always trirail or quadrail. I'm sure with today's technological advances, Intamin has found a way to support a stressful birail. The reason they add more strength for stress is not to prevent breaking, but to provide a smoother ride.
I just have not seen an Intamin coaster with stressful points using birail tracks.
every time I see one of your rides A113 I get so freakin' jealous.... man I try so hard and I can't ever get my rides to be as realistic and incredible like yours, I've even had NL for over a year now and I still suck at making rides.... I've watched so many tutorials, I've tried so many different ways to make rides like these but they all end up the same... crappy.... why do you think I haven't been working on AC the ride... cause I can't make it good...
looks great just a few questions like why only put catwalks on lift only on one side and not two? also some of the turns look like they go slowly and dont have strong g's but overall sweet ride!
Very impressive ride. I like how it's a big twist on a Mega Lite. I really like the custom catwalks/station/cable lift/tunnel. The coaster also moves very nicely. Overally solid ride. 9/10.
what version of no limits is this, i know that you used newton but how did you get that catwalk?
