I have Devils on my 05 FZ6. The tone is deeper than any other exhaust for the FZ6. The bike sound bigger than a 600cc. I ordered mine from Devil's in France at a good price.

I don't get the appeal of loud exhaust pipes. Why do people like loud pipes? Anyone care to enlighten me? To me it just means more nuisance noise while riding. Or is there some kind of different note (apart from being just louder) that people mean when they say an exhaust "sounds good"?

I want to be as obnoxious as necessary to get their attention. Personally, if I could turn my exhaust down once I got into my neighborhood, I would. well louder pipes make it so you can be heard instead of just being seen, and as all riders know, no one ever sees you if you are on a bike, and the more prominent you are, either being heard or seen, increases your chances of making it home safely that night. Plus if you need to, a good thump on the loud handle really gets peoples attention, better than that idiot ass horn on these things.

omgnemo, Devils have a deeper raspier tone and they are loud when you remove the temp. baffles by drilling out the pop rivet. Louder IDK? they growl rather than scream.

In Turkey they made a reasonable exhaust comparasion tests,and akrapovic has made +0,2 hp then Devil.But 0,2 hp means nothing in these type of bikes as you knew.Only silencers are used usually for sound,and believe me you cannot compare Devil with any brand in this subject.About the Marushin Helmets,you may think the same about praising my brand,so I can tell you it really worths trying,I promise you,you won't regret.
