  • I just discovered Neil Young use to play in a band with the late- great Rick James. I checked this guy out and Neil young has some great music.

  • memories of waco

  • Fuck Nixon, and the Ohio Gov at the time THIS is what Nixon should of been put on trial for even before watergate.

I remember when this happened. They sent the troops to fire on these kids that were marching for peace.

Like "jack booted nazis" They gunned them down. It was a disgrace then and now.

  • Fuck this Police State. Kill them before they kill you.

  • give peace a chance

  • wow, had to take pause and it finally came to mind - it was an al stewart song, NOSTRADAMUS

  • One of the darkest days in our nations history for certain. I remember it well.

  • i love this song! i turn this baby up!! loud!

  • Obviously Kent State was a tradgedy and I know songs have been written about Bloody Sunday in Ireland in 1972 but I wonder if anything was ever written about when Union soldiers fired on Manhattan residents during the 1863 New York City Draft Riots.Apparently Abraham Lincoln sent them in with shoot to kill orders.Kent State was bad but that was worse.

  • Song written by Neil Young: guitar harmony by twin lead guitars, Young and Stills. Stephen Stills a leader of that group, very underrated as a musician.

  • the more things change, the more they stay the same

  • line from "Circumstances" by Rush

is that where you got it form?

  • America was no better than Russia, they exploited countries to fight for them (ex. Afghanastan) And the NVA may have been funded by Russia and China, but it was still Vietnam's own war until the U.S. got involved. The war started because the French wouldnt leave after WWII and vietnam was fighting for their freedom from an empire, just like the U.S. did in 1700's. Vietnam was not Americas war.

  • Nice. Innocent students killed in cold blood. A national tragedy. God bless the four murdered children.

  • if USA wanted to fight communism they would have fought Russia, there is no point in most wars. just bullshit political agenda's. Hippies and protesters are the true saviors. without them we would have been sent out to fight for a government which starts wars and leaves us to fight them

  • Don't forget China.

  • Imagine living in a country with no need for greed, hate and war..............

  • it was a scary time to be a teen in the US.VietNam, the draft, Protests and a President with no morals. it was a long time ago but,it was just yesterday to some of us. This song says a lot about those days.

  • I love this song. Never really listened to the words. I didn't know it was an anti-war song.

  • Yeah, since the Vietnam war was such a honorable cause... roflmao

  • it seems so sad

  • a masterpiece of words as a result of action.

  • uprise and you get shot or supressed thats all the government wants us to know

  • Anyone who wants to know from a witness should google: alan canfora

P:S: he was present on the scene and was shot in his wrist.

  • drop acid, not bombs!!

  • drop food,medicine,and books

  • i dont actually mean that. just looks at the video: 0:25.

  • I remember these times all too well. We thought things were tough THEN! Now these groups would be surrounded by Starwar bullies and horses before they even uttered one chant. But this is my generation and in a short time most of them sold out, the strength of our movement killed by drugs, free love and fear. They had to harness us somehow, and that was it. Check out my compilation of political and protest music in my playlist. Have about 60 now and they sound gooooood!

  • great post

  • "God Bless the Ohio National Guard! and good luck to our troops in killing everything in the mid-east (except Israel of course...)"

What does God have to do with killing innocent kids? To you, anyone that isn't a self righteous redneck must be a filthy hippy worthy of horrible suffering and death.

I bet you even consider yourself a "christian". How fucking pathetic.

What makes you different from a nazi SS stormtrooper or gestapo officer? Answer: They weren't as bloodthirsty as you.

  • you really fit the despot profile, its a good thing for you and us ; while youre kissing liebermans ass and begging for more carnage , the good people of the world will be gathering to eliminate that mentality from the world forever. As I said at least youre an honest misanthropist, it wont bother you in the final war when your kind are gone, But for us its sad that humans carry the self hatred as you do.

  • "But for us its sad that humans carry the self hatred as you do. "

Look in the mirror shit for brains, YOU are the fucking enemy.

  • "I wish I could have been there. I would have used my bayonet on those filthy hippies."(quote)

add the elderly and minorities and lower classes fuck wad youre on a roll, just go on a stereotyping killing spree you dumb fuck. You are an idiot.

  • There you go, you just repeated the words I QUOTED. So YOU must be saying you want to go bayonet filthy hippies according to YOUR understanding of the English language.

  • lmao i thought you were actually saying that shit.

  • "lmao i thought you were actually saying that shit. "

If you noticed what I wrote, you'd see that I attacked the person that DID actually write that.

  • Such a great song and good work with the pics.

  • "I wish I could have been there. I would have used my bayonet on those filthy hippies."

So did you sign up to go to Iraq yet? I bet you can't wait to go bayonet some little kids and their mothers, maybe a few puppies while you're at it.

Oh wait, that's right, they don't use bayonets for that, they just throw some grenades, let a .50 cal rip, and toss a little white phosphorus on them for good measure.

    I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

  • you are realy fuckt up

  • "you are realy fuckt up "

So you think that guy theotiscampbell who congratulated the NG and wished he had been there to "bayonet those filthy hippies" is perfectly normal, and that he's right?

Would you agree with him and join him in slaughtering unarmed students and innocent bystanders?

  • NWO puppet. you wont be so glib when they execute your family members. Got any kids the elite can pawn off in their pediphelia rings ? maybe theyd just waste them in front of you, yeah I think youd enjoy that. may as well sell all of your friends out to them as well, you could probably get indoctrinated by killing your family and friends yourself. But at least youre an honest enemy to the constitution and the bill of rights.

  • HUH? Because I don't froth at the mouth over the idea of killing innocent people, all of a sudden I'm a NWO puppet? It's people like you that make Constitutionalists appear to be nothing more than a bunch of raving fucking nutjobs.

Myself, I supported Ron Paul and voted for the Constitution Party candidate Chuck Baldwin. WHO THE FUCK DID YOU SUPPORT, NWO/CFR puppet McCain or NWO/CFR puppet Obama?

  • Are you too stupid to see the quotes around the words of some idiot who wanted to "bayonet filthy hippies"? Do you know what fucking quotes are for, they are to repeat somebody's words to set them apart from your own when you're talking about what somebody ELSE has said.

It shows what you're responding to when you write a comment here. Have you ever finished elementary school?

  • add (quote) next time. it looked like you were typing that.

  • "add (quote) next time. it looked like you were typing that. "

The majority of people, even those who don't speak English, know what quotes are for. That's why they're called quotes.

Besides, didn't you read what I wrote PAST the quoted sentences? Wake up man, you just attacked an ally, you better think twice about how you react in a REAL situation where consequences are far worse than simple hurt feelings.

  • add (quote) from now on lmao my apologies man.

  • "add (quote) from now on lmao my apologies man. "

There's not enough space to say what I want to say in 500 characters as it is most of the time, so it'd be pointless to add unnecessary words to punctuate what I've already punctuated. But ok, I accept the apology.

I actually thought you were pissed because I was AGAINST what happened at Kent State.

  • You know, if YouTube would nest the comments and responses properly there would be no need for quotes, but since it's such a lame system I've gotten into the habit of quoting pretty much everything I respond to so there will no confusion. I mean I DID use quotation marks around the text I was quoting...

Sorry if I went a little overboard on you, but like I said I thought the same about you as you thought about me, since you appeared to be attacking me over what I wrote, not what I quoted.

  • well just consider my overboard bullshit aimed at the punk you were aiming at. its all good I am just glad our misunderstanding That I started resolved well.

  • Great song, powerful video.

  • theotis, your statement is completely false. they weren't spoiled rich kids, Kent is a STATE college. They weren't hippies, either. They were young adults protesting the war and they were massacred by trigger happy NG that had no legal right to be in Kent (they were brought in by the mayor, not the governor.)

They weren't commies. You and anyone that agrees with you are evil. Come to the memorial at KSU, learn something, you redneck scum.

  • some of them weren't even protesting.

They were just passing by or watching.

The whole debacle is a fucking disgrace.

  • two of the people killed were just passing by. one was the head cadet of rotc for kent state. everyone who was shot was shot in the back or side. the four who were killed were almost all shot in the back. it was a mess. and noone was punished for it.

  • i love the guitar on this, akways ends up stuck in my head for hours, and people dont argue about the shooting we all know it was bad the governments fucked up and all,but come on at least respect the music people

  • And so it goes - thank god change is here finally. Economics, boycott, protest, make your voice heard - it's still a right as far as I know. Prellialin, you are 16 and enjoying things that came about because of direct civil action from ALL environmental laws, wages, equal rights, worker safety, no fucking draft (so far), and much more. Get out more, get involved, you might just learn something about yourself and the planet you live on.

  • My 18th birthday was the day of the Kent State shootings - quite defining in terms of my political perspective. Those were days /times of passion for change in us and the country - thank God we are there again!

  • One of the greatest (and truest) songs of the sixties. The slide show is groovy too. I wish I could have been around in the sixties.

  • Song was from the '70s. The shootings were in 1970 :P

  • Oh yeah. Well, anyways, I wish I could have been around in the 60s and early 70s. We need another progressive youth movement for peace and equality.

  • this might sound like a stupid question but what is this song about? I was not born when this occurred.

  • (for davisberry1972) Kent State University in Ohio, students and other youths protesting against the Vietnam War, National Guard troops sent in by the Ohio governor to "maintain order". Several soldiers (very young, minimally trained) suddenly opened fire and killed four bystanding students. Official (and Establishment) reactions after the murders blamed the dead students.

  • Are you kidding!?You must be one of the most ignorant and narrowminded people on earth! For your information,I feel sorry for the national guard for shooting those kids, most of them regret it.Hippies support freedom of speech, not freedom to kill.Oh,and two words for the national guard:RUBBER BULLETS!!

If you have to shoot, use rubber bullets. If I keep typing I'll proably get into trouble for giving you my full opinion of you!Long live the hippie ideal!

    Peace,love,happiness to you

  • brings back the truth of what we stood for then..but today is such a different place..

  • i was there also-class of 1970-draft lottery number 4-viet-nam class of 71- we changed the world so get over it-you are either on the bus or off the bus-ken keasy-kick ass and plow on-air cav

  • I was at Kent State when this happened, took three days to get through on a phone to my family, phone lines jammed for fifty miles. We hippies supported change to a system that desperately needed change. The government killed a large portion of our generation. This was a difficult time to come of age, and we will all forever be influenced by our young years as Americans. Your weren't there, so you have no idea. Still a hippie, I do believe.

  • hey parrotheadforever same here, i met mary d,the girl kneeling.. my friend kept her safe..for some reason i find myself going back to these times.. why is that?

  • I'm 13 and I'm a hippie so screw you. I also love Neil Young and this kind of music. Go hate hippies some where else.

  • Powerful combination.

  • your still a retard

  • the statement was going great till the very end. although neil young has been fucking up recently, his music was good throughout the 70s

  • if your parents were divorced would they still be brother and sister? your a retard

  • my reply was to the cretin praising the National Guard, just for clarity.

  • The way our government acts is outrageuos. It doesn't even ask the people before doing something. I know it is a republic, and we have elected officials for that. But things like war, taxes, drafts, etc..., need to be voted upon by the public (not specicifically the public, but the officials, like mayors, and Govenors.)

  • this is a pure example of Americans soldiers turning against it's own people, who believed in a cause ....how sad !

  • Are you kidding me ?!

  • Liberals suck!!!....on almost everything especially the commies at Kent State. Stupid students being brainwashed by left wing bullshit. Now they are middle age and see the folly of their ways to their shame!

  • "Heh Mr Nixon

    Heh Mr Heath

Can't you pull your pants up boys

    We're standing underneath"

    The great Roy Harper

    God bless us all.

  • French in IndoChin by mid 18th C. Lost it after the Indo China war of mid 50's. Elected governments in Laos and Cambodia and later elections in a demarcated Viet Nam. America backed South Viet Nam and corrupt elections. The rest they say is history. JFK and LBJ compounded the disaster of Eisenhowers, Dicky got the troops out. Hard to swallow but!

Hope the "Kenyian's" familiarity with British Imperialism allows him to see the folly of a colonial war.

  • Ok, maybe YT is censoring my comments. So, I'll say it again. My grandparents taught at Kent State at the time. They told me the stories of police brutality. Those kids were killed in cold blood. It makes me sick to my stomach.

  • Our own people killed our own people that day. The Police killed our people that day. Absurd. These people had a right to protest and were shot in cold blood dead. Please people, never forget that.

  • nixon wanted to make an example of how tough he was .rot in hell you pig!

  • The day's of my youth and a time when the young pretty much shaped our history.

  • The idea at the time was to not act up in any way at all (ex: having a strange hair style is too much).

And, no, I am not justifying what Nixon did, I too am, in fact, against it.

  • recon you belong under a rice paddy in vietnam

  • Kent state was my first choice out of high school. But i joined the Air Force.

    True story.

  • Are there many out there who actually remember this event I hope so. May their lives have not been given for nothing but for teaching us that there are better ways.

  • I was 15 then, it left an incredible impression on me.

  • and youre obviously a pussycat while these faggs sat on their assess real men who served their country irregardless how they felt about the war they went and fought bravely they didnt bitch and moan go fight in a war get shot at everyday for 12 months than come home to assholes calling you a baby killer and spitting on u so yeah fuckhead they got what they deserved and that was the ohio national guard idiot not the active duty army go hug a tree

  • I support Senator Barack. I didn't mean to group him with those losers(bushwimp) please don't hate me for being american. OBama/Biden)ps-joe biden has a big heart full of love.

  • if you mean mccain/palin then yes

  • word: whatever hate monger cheaters in the national elections: YOU better do Right now. your greedy karma will kill u, it already has. Obama. bush cheney=anti christs.

  • im pretty sure hillary clinton's the antichrist, but whatever.

as far as mccaine & obama goes, may the best man win

  • YEAH HEROS DITCH CLASS INCITE RIOTS BURN THEIR DRAFT CARDS SPIT ON SOLDIERS COMING HOME AND BAIT PEOPLE INTO SHOOTING THEM THEY GOT EXACTLY WHAT THEY DESERVED AND 5.556 mm nato round in the cranio orbital cavity dead before they hit the ground thats why shes laying on her face fuck all u hippies if thats how you felt and you cared so much for the vietnamese people you should have moved to hanoi not taking out student loans then protesting the same government that educated u

  • Wow recon really? Judging from your name your an army guy I take it. Being spit on is the same as getting a bullet to the head? This isn't really the armies fault as it was, it was a bad mix that got out of hand. Bad politics is to blame. A tragedy, and almost every american agrees now that vietnam was a mistake. Plus two of the dead were not even in the riots and hit going to class by stray bullets, is that what they deserved? I feel sorry for you, you're obviously so full of hate and violence.

  • they didn't deserve to be shot did they? they weren't protesting against the soldiers were they! bait people into shooting them? how do you do that, they could have just water cannoned 'em or something, fucks sake.

  • you poser youve never been to war,it dosnt guts to follow blindly,it takes guts to stand and say this is wrong.ten bucks say youare a nat guard on the weekends and bag grocerys the rest of the week

  • The real Americans fighting for what is right. These college students are real heros. The desrved to live!

  • Song written by Neil Young: guitar harmony between Stills and Young. Vocal performance by all four.

  • RIP you young people. You will prob. only be remembred by the masses through this song. Love to your families, they bear the burden of history

  • In over 30 years, sadly, we haven't come that far.

  • THE SONG IS NOT ABOUT BOSTON, YOU HALF WITS!!! this song was about the kent state massacre in OHIO.. WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THE NAME OF THE SONG WOULD HAVE GAVE IT AWAY... my bad. guess there is more ignorant people than i thought. and there were only 4. two of them wernt even apart of the protest.. they were just walking to their next class! fu*king learn you sum history.. there, i said it in your own language.

  • i know this person on here said it should be considered a massacre because its was only 4 people and i replied there were 5 killed in boston

  • if you even try this now you will be beaten by the police or guard or whatever if your holding a stick or a book you could hurt them they will shoot you. you have a backpack or your walking towards them they will shoot you. or they will have riot shields and just beat you with those police sticks.

american is slowly changing into a police state where the peoples freedoms can be taken away without notice. i say it's time to stand up theres 340million americans and how many guards or police?

  • I think Miller and Krause were targeted by the Guardsmen. Great song, epic tragedy.

  • either way, mcain and palin feel eerily lke those ties, lets hate the other guy shouldnt be a mantra, go back to alaska retard...

  • sad to think times really haven't changed THAT much, I mean I don't mean to sound pessimistic but JENA SIX?

Hopefully this country can turn it around, but with uneducated people comes racism, discrimination and hate. We've gotta overcome these ugly parts of our personality

  • when will we learn

  • NEVER! bwah ha ha ha friggin natl guard.

  • Your friend was probably pissing his pants as he hit the floor which is normal. Forget the conspiracy bullshit. the guard fired first and tragedy ensued. i am a military veteran but I'm not stupid. It was a freaking tragedy. Your buddy doesn't need to make it worse by his hallucinations

  • My friend's father was the fullback at Kent State in 1970. It was a freaking massacre not unlike Waco or Ruby Ridge. I am no Liberal either. History provides the facts usually it is years later.

  • massacre? 4? c'mon... ruby ridge had more i think... and Waco did for sure.

  • wasnt there 5? people that died in the Boston Massacre.

and even so, no one should have been shot at kent state, it was a peaceful rally they had no reason to be shot

  • there were 5 kill'd in boston, but they were fine upstanding members of society, not hop-headed little punk ass hippies who thot they knew everything simply because they were under 30. imo, they got what they called on they own noggins.

  • sorry kender..but your friend might be full of shit..there is tons of video footage of national guardsmen firing on innocent people at kent state, 2 of the people who died that day weren't even protesting. The crowds and protesters there didnt even pose a threat to the men in arms. I think your buddy is just trying to make him feel better about himself for taking part in such a tragedy. fuck richard nixon

  • well there is video showing them shoot tear gas but not bullets..and the guard was being smashed in the face with dixie cups full of cement. and my friend is not full of shit this guy pulls no punches..he saw what he saw and tells it like that..whatever happened was fucked up and thats the bottom line..

  • david even if a guard was hit by a piece of concrete , you pull out a baton or use your rifle butt, not shoot blindly into a crowd of middle class students ,and have fixed bayonets,as you say it was crazy

  • ok i understand what you are saying..but i did get a chance to talk to him again about what happened.he told me again that every single gaurdsman turned in all of their ammo and all of it was accounted for,,he did however tell me that some of them use to carry thier own ammo without anyone else knowing about it.that way they could fire ammo if they had to and still turn every bit of ammo issued to them ..he and others like him that were there are still unsure on what really happened.

  • was anyone procecuted,it would of been easy to have checked every rifle ,for residue,i doubt it as the authorities over there seem to stand by the police whatever happens, similar here to,carrying their own ammo hey ,jut like that national guardsman in the film southern comfort, anyway just a shame people died ,those who did would probably be politicians or high flyers today themselves

  • he also says it stills haunts him to know that maybe there were other groups that may have fired the shots andto place blame on the troops..for someone who was there to see it all go down and tell a different version that what you hear or read about is amazing..

  • Interesting...thanks for sharing davidkender.

  • my bas player who is 61 now was in the national guard and was there, and saw it all go down and he said i didnt happen like the history books tells you like it went down.he said there were other people in the crowd that were not college students .and that the guard was being smashed in the face with dixie cups full of shit and concrete. he also stated that every single guardsman had turned in everybit of ammo that they were issued..he says its still not really clear who fired what on that day..

  • This is so deep.

GreatDarkSpot, burn in Hell. The damn students didn't have it coming ata ll.

    A great song, 10,000/100

  • Great song and photo montage. It's time we started protesting again, the government is even more out of control than back then and it's our responsibility to straighten it out.

  • Brawo? WTH?

  • Anyone who wants to know from a witness what happened should google: alan canfora

P:S: he was present on the scene and was shot in his wrist.

  • great video, lots of history to show sons while they are still in school and can see how it was for us back then.

    peace and hugs

    harley17275

  • 5***** for dead in ohio

  • Who has the balls to e-mail this to the White House? Make it the national anthem-

  • Down with the fucked communists, anarchists and other porn-zoophils

  • lol,i had to write an essay for this song in band.....pretty catchy tune xD

  • YAY! i found my song for my history project! :D

  • I wish people with balls made as good music as peace-monging hippies

  • The divide and conquer of a century ago has been replaced by mix and conquer strategies because nothing can interrupt the workflow and thus the production rate. Ethnic pride is discouraged and replaced by false patriotism, with slogans, images, Sports teams, flag waving, all the b.s. mom and apple pie stuff,

and arrogant chest beating while sitting in cubicles watching kids die in the war efforts.

Capitalism at its finest. (this of course being sarcastic)

  • rodog.., the American people will never pull off a repeat of the French or any other revolution. Why? Because everyone knows the U.S. government will drop the bomb on the 1st city that rises. Today, it is not the Russians or the Chinese that really worries the Feds, it's domestic war. Why do you think they're hell bent on mixing the races? So they can create a poor undereducated easily manipulable working class with no ethnic pride like in Brazil.

  • Take heart. Conservatives have been winning elections but have lost the culture wars:-)

Unfortunately that hasn't prevented another tragic war:-(

  • All war is tragic. But seriously compare the two wars. Iraq's death toll is NOWHERE near Vietnam's. Comparing the two on a scale of tragedy is an insult to the Vietnam War.

  • Well it isn't as much of a disaster to be sure. It's still tragic if there is an empty spot at your dinner table because of it.

  • true, it isn't much of a disaster, but like Stalin said "one lost life is a tragedy, a million is a statistic". Like if some one dies in a car crash it really sad, but if 500 people die in a pile up it doesn't really sink in. I don't know why i just thought of that?

    oh well, great song!!!

  • they took tis in one try and it took one hour to make theres a guitar error in the begginng hard 2 spot but there is and 2 girls and 2 men died they ordered for the soilders 2 to shot at the protest 4 the war and yes i want amoment of peace 4 them and 4 the 9/11 on 2001 which was 7 years ago so a momoent of peace plz 4 both 9/11 and the dead protesters

  • The price has been paid. There is no more draft. So, if you espouse blind patriotism: serve. If you are patriotic, but also believe it is our right to see war as a failure of our leaders (in any country), keep speaking out against war. If right wingers want to throw mud: be sure you have served. I am a vet. There is something totally wrong, flying in the Gulf, with an American-made P3 coming out from Iran (80's) to shoot us down. Who was the fat cat who sold it to the previous friendly regime?

  • Vietam was about as insane as Iraq. Funny how things repeat themselves.

  • Unfortunetly BILL&HILLARY were,nt the victims

  • a long time ago the people wanted a king,GOD said OK

  • Excellent montage. Thanks for incorporated the Pulitzer-winning photos. I play this song at least once a week. "What if you knew her and found her dead on the ground...." It goes through my heart every time. I know the time well---it has remained with me all these years. Thank you for putting this production together. Little did you know...it was all for me. Love & Peace

  • Again, we have a chance to make a difference. To change a bad situation. For the first time in US History a candidate has been financed by citizens--ONLY! No coporate bribes to make him beholden. Check out his website. The TV (corporate owned..all of them) constantly makes any moment of his seem wrong for no reason. And the Cain dude can spend millions on a PARIS HILTON smear campanign.. and some young voters think that is how to campaign, not with policy, not with people's futures in mind.

  • i like this song. It sounds happy.

  • This video...and song are fantastic despite the senseless violence man felt entitled to produce against his own man. Is there a contradiction between the concepts of Peace and Revolution? For me, those ideas can be compatible and coexist, however the history of this event clearly demonstrates otherwise. The Kent State tragedy shows man's need to defend and protect a belief, his egoic self, in an extreme and unfortunate way.

  • Peacenik1969 - Please stop referring to everyone who doesn't agree with you as the uneducated masses. It doesn't take a genius to see who was in the wrong here. I don't know how anyone can justify young people being shot to death because they may or may not have been throwing rocks! Some of those people were just innocent bystanders so maybe you are the one who should be checking your history!

  • The protests went on for 4 days. The protestors burned an ROTC building down & attacked the firefighters trying to put it out. The university made an effort to cancel the protest as it had already escalated to the point where the fire was set. I am not making excuses for the shootings. Just giving info. There was no reason for anyone to be there because the violent protest to the violent war had already become a very dangerous place to be. Very very tragic.

  • Nobody is perfect, especially a whole country of people. You all should know that, but still it doesn't justify the shootings at Kent State.

  • panzerelite(u.s.w.) I should have known you're from Deutschland by having panzerelite as a Username! Sind Sie Neo NAZI auch? Es ist ihm sicher ähnlich!""Niemand ist vollkommen". Welche DUMME Anmerkung!

  • and oh yes, due to our withdrawal, vietnam came under the Khmer Rouge, "remembered mainly for the deaths of an estimated 1.5 million people or 1/5 of the country's total population (estimates range from 850,000 to two million) under its regime, through execution, starvation and forced labor." - Wikipedia

way to go peacniks! communism is the best! keep buying china and watch the olypmics and forget the millions censored and tortured and imprisoned and executed!

  • The US killed 2 - 3 million people in Viet Nam.

    The Khmer Rouge ruled Cambodia.

  • so how long should of we;d stay there and die 10 20 30 yrs thank wallstreet for china trade

  • And yet you do what about it? Eh Peacenik? You sit on the side lines and critzise those who try to make a diffrence where they can. What the fuck do you do to help? When the last time you tried to change anything for the better? At least they cared. At least they tried to change something. You know what you are? Your a pessemist. And do you know what a pessemist is? Its someone who believes that everyone is as nasty as themselves and hates everyone for it.

  • Sorry peacenik, but Vietnam never 'came under the influence of the Khmer Rouge'. That was Cambodia. In fact, the Khmer Rouge were driven out of power by the Vietnamese army after they had been provoking Vietnam for months.

  • to the uneducated masses, check your history...the shootings came after several days of uncontrolled violence from so-called "protesters" and other vagrants. rock throwing, property damage, assault, arson and a most unpeaceful assembly, which is not a constitutional right. those soldiers were getting battered by the "peaceniks" with rocks and bottles, ironic isn't it? violent protest to end violence!

    Ironic? or hypocritical?

  • hey you fuck head i hope you burn in hell those bastards killed 4 innocent kids you fucking idiot you are an idiot you probably even like george bush fucking fag

  • hey dumbass i lived around there at the time they were sick of that dumbass war and tired of being forced to fight it and tired of nixon and what the hell are the national guard on campass with live bullets some one has to be against these idiotic wars these politicions keep getting us involved in were not sheep out here

  • I was around then too, thing weren't as black and white as you are making them out to be. There was alot of violence committed by the protestors of the Vietnam War. None of the soldiers wanted to be there--they did what they had to do and then they were spit on and called baby killers when they came home. What happened a Kent State was terrible, I remember I couldn't believe they would fire on students like that, but alot of things escalated out of control back then.

  • No matter how you cut it the random shooting of unarmed students by ill disciplined (and equally young) members of the National Guard (guarding what, and from whom?) is indefencible.

By the way if you want to distinguish yourself from the "uneducated masses" try starting your sentences with a capital letter.

  • your a fag. i didn't capitalize i guess i'm uneducated!
