As for a question for Poe, I am not sure Poe could answer this. The lack of people attending his funeral was a slap in the face. At the time of his death Poe was one of the most popular authors in the country. People flocked to lectures given by the doctor attending Poe at his death. Why after the headstone was destroy another was not replaced. Superstitions?
