  • So is Kyley still making knives?

  • what a piece of garbage

  • I have an out of production Spyderco FB04 Fred Perrin Bowie bought in 2004 and it has the exact same handle design/shape... The Perrin Street Beat also has the same handle design... I personally love the ergo's of the Perrin Handle Choil...

  • where can i purchase these knives

  • Where can you get these knives?

  • I have cut the nuts out of 250 calves in the past week. So I can tell you Kyley can sharpen a blade and the little hiker holds its edge. A hell of a lot of knife value for such a small investment.

  • oooouuuccchhh!

    LOL....

  • i think paracord would be better then the chain sometime might break and paracord stronger

  • @nightwalker2830 It's a safety thing. The ball chains are designed to break before they strangle you. I'm not very comfortable using straight up paracord without a cord lock or something, personally, but it's personal preference. I don't wear my bike helmet most of the time, so...hehe. ;-)

  • i just bought my knife from kiley they are cool knives

  • Im going to be getting one of these soon and will be doing some field testing of sorts.

Can I just ask, why does your camera shake so much? Is it an internal camera program or are you just leaning against the tripod?

It really is hard to watch sometimes.

  • I think its got image stabilization like mine.. which actually makes stuff move when on a tripod.. I have to disable the feature if I am not walking around with the camera.

  • "makes stuff move when on a tripod"

    LOL....Kinda reminds me of the

old saying: 'If it aint broke....dont fix it!'

  • Well.. if you hold it in your hand, it makes a huge difference to the stable quality :D

  • looks like a very interesting knife great review

  • its pronounced kaooweela

  • I like the design of the blade. It is small and light. I would use it to field dress a deer as it looks like it would do just fine.

  • can you take a picture of that symbol and email it to me

  • Do you mean My Symbol? or something Jeff did? if you want one of mine PM me and I can email it to you as an original.

  • the handles dont look like the would handle to much abuse. but the blade should be good quality

  • Wrench38.. I think you should watch the videos of me using a Hammer to baton wood, and a mallet to bash that knife point first into a block of wood.. its more durable than most knives I've seen in that size that would snap in two.

  • i can only see so much in the vid, so i cant tell how the handle is made

  • how many knifes does jeff have???

  • Good vid. . .

  • Its true I have dreamed of makeing a cheap supurb knife that made its way onto the belts of thousands.

  • Those knives aren't very pretty.

  • where can you buy svord production knives?

  • if you dotn live in new zealand just check out theri website and buy direct, or see if they have a list of dealers you cna use...

  • I Sell Svord and ship anywhere., or you can try direct depending on where you live.

  • i suppose you sell to england, if so how much would it be altogether

  • its all the same price anywhere, see my channel notes

  • Hope a little criticism is ok. I just don't think this knife is work the price. I would much rather have a Rat 3 or something similar for the same basic price. Better steel, better sheath, better fit and finish and, in my opinion, better aesthetics. I am a bit worried that you got this knife for free and as a result, youre not being sufficiently critical. Just my thoughts.

  • critisism is fine...I never trun away from that, I will say my reviews are 100% honest no matter where the items come from...if your talking about an ontario rat 3 they average from $60 - $80 which is double the price, the rat 3 is also alot heavier and larger of a knife, YES the fit and finsih IS beter thouigh, but thats what you get for paying alot more...as far as the steel I think most people who have experience with both 1095 and L6, will agree L6 has more advantages...

  • LoL.. Jeff, I like the automatic assumption that you got it for free :D

It distinguishes you... Worthy of gifts.. You should put your address out there for the generous populous.

  • lol I know

  • I dont mind opinions either.. but Apples to Apples.. Hand Made $30US for a 2Oz L6, 1/16" 6" knife Does not really compare to a 8" 1095 heavy knife that is over double the weight and double the thickness... and.. $80US for a FACTORY made knife. seeing as those $80US knives are produced for about $15.. I think they are not worth the money either :)

  • Hey its not for everyone you know...but many peopel can appreciate what they are getting for the money, if you gacve away $20 bills ona corner somewhere, someone woudl eventually complain, lol "hey man why are you givign away this money, whats wrong with you" lol, so theres one thign I learend quickyl in life no matter what you do you cant please everyone...

  • I'm getting one!

  • awesome review jeff. 5/5

  • MAIL HIM A BETTER CAMERA!!!!

  • ill mail u something good to say how bout that

  • You must giggle at yourself all day long. :) I wish I had your sense of humor, then I wouldn't need any friends at all.

  • dude, chill ur a knife nerd. hahhaha

    who has no friends again?

  • hes just messign aroiund were online friends, he didnt mean anything by it..

  • yeah that was over the edge, sry im a knife nerd 2:)

  • well I would hope you are a knife fan, otherwise who's wasting their time ;)

  • huh that neat i like it my friend makes knifes like that lol so what do you use if for Jeff? or do you just collect it?

  • i've been watching him make these for a while, he puts lots of effort in, definatly a top knife

  • the strop is free i contacted him directly ater buying it and he said that if i wanted i could pay an extra 3 dollars not sure whether that usd or nzd but he said for the three dollars he would put in a bigger strop which was just the cost of shipping he said so yeah just thought i should put that out there and i also want to say thankyou again kyley i hope you read this and i am very excited to get my knife

  • I did read it. :) PRE-ORDER knives all have the pocket strop included with the knife. knives selling now do not come with it, but for $3US I will throw the pocket strop in, or you can order one of the bigger ones. :) some people may get lucky and accidentally get a strop ! LoL I will have to order more leather soon.. sold too many strops ;)

  • hey man ... im using a belt as a strop... but it doesnt seem to be working .. any hints?

  • well make sure your not using a treated side, but rather the raw leather, plsu to polish and edge you need compound to add to it...just using bare leather really wotn do much besides maybe straighten out the existign edge...

  • r u usin som kind of rouge? or stropping compound? maybe its the leather

  • The angle is also very important. You can either be not touching the edge, so no effect.. or too high and dulling the edge....

  • Thanks for making these videos man i don't have many cool knives i find these videos interesting anyway.

    WAFFLE.

  • hey cutlery i just wanted to tell u that monkiboi323 or some wat is having a zippo contest and i think u should join u would win easy because there are only 6 reponse and they only have like 200 views on each vid and all ur subcribers would 5/5 star it and u can win a high polished zippo so im just tellin u if u wanted to try :D just search zippo contest

  • I'd love one of those.

  • What's All That black shit on the knife blade?

  • thats the natural finish after the heat treatment...

  • haha.. thats what I say every time I see an IZULA, Busse, cold steel or any knife with an artificial coating added to it :D

Carburization is the transformation that takes place when you heat Treat steel. its a natural protectorant, and also food safe.

  • i gotta find some people that'll send me some free knives. florida's economy is crappy.

  • You said it yourself, with a crappy Economy, that'll be hard. ;-)

  • i think Wednesday i'ma go crawl up the manager at autozone's ass to bug him to hire me, dunno if that's such a great idea but i don't like sitting and waiting for someone to call me.

  • Five Stars!!

  • cooooooool

  • Hey man u do a great job.

  • Hey, thanks for the review, i love your videos.

  • another great vid!

  • 6th nice vid jeff

  • I would also like to know what kind of steel it is, and maybe on your knife reviews you can put a small list of the stats and dimensions of the knife in the video info. just a suggestion. Great vid BTW!

  • iys L6, thanks for the suggestion I might just have to do that in the future..

  • cool knife

  • What kind of steel?

  • L6, same as the 1st version, its a very hard carbon steel...

  • nice !!
