This is from "Neon Genesis Evangelion." It was a anime series with 26 episodes. There is also a movie called "End of Evangelion" which was made because, for much debated reasons, the final 2 episodes were unsatisfactory. Also, the series is in the process of being redone in 4 movies. This is called "Rebuild of Evangelion." The whole series is highly recommendable. Look into it.
