Sensory hypersensitivity is one of the fascinating aspects of Asperger's and autism, perhaps because cats (and many other animals) have these traits. I don't really have hypersensitive senses, if so only mildly. I don't know whether or not I'd want them. The pain caused by an overload can't be fun, but I think just having these unusually developed senses is like having superhuman powers.
This is a good description. And I;m not exaggarating here but wot you describe in this video is how i felt last night when I went out for a drink to my local pub. A feeling of been moidered.
