This baler is making bales as big as the deere can get there's a farmer around here that has a deere baler that makes bales 6 foot by 5 foot a good packed bale takes alot of constant power to have proper density that's why so big of tractor besides most farmers these days don't buy a tractor for one job they may only have a couple big tractors I seen a cat challenger cutting hay with a pull behind conditioner
@classharvester Oh yes , we ran our JD 550 round baler on 78 hp Renault and she did not even know it was back there. Admitted it did not have any crop cutter knives.

It doesn't even need that big of a tractor to run the baler.A 100 hp tractor would have done the job to. Can you buy the balers like that?
