The beard. Definitely not his horns, since you'll be bouncing off them without any razorsharp weapons.

Try checking the monsterhunter wiki to see how much damage a specific bodypart takes.

I got my first deep dragon gem through a repell and another two in a kill.

One in the carves and one in the quest rewards.

The point is yes yoou can.

Ceadus is easily the best monster on MH3!

yes, but also easily the easiest monster in the game.

It has such slow attacks that only a total noob would die to it (no offense to the people who have trouble with this freakishly easy monster, just an example; you're not noobs- I think -)

It also doesn't have really powerful attacks in my opinion. The Diablos would prove to be a greater chalenge.Even the great jaggi if It had a lot of health.

The only hard part of fighting cedeaus. Killing it in one round.

on a quest that u can either repel or slay a ceadues , i wanted to kill it but instead it ran away, as in i repelled it, how can i kill it without repelling it, of course killing it is better, as u get more rewards.

@54sooner Actually, considering his health remains the same between repels if you break the beard, it's better to repel him first, then kill him, killing him will be easier and as such, quicker rewards.

@ajko000 You tomfool of a Took! In order to fully upgrade the Alatreon lance (or get it at all) you need AzureDragongem. Very rare drop from Alatreon. I was lucky to get from carve after first alatreon, but you sir may not have such luck. You also need copious amounts of Alatreon Tails. Good luck to you sir and sleepbombing may not necessrily be the best - you need a very good team for that (2+ gunners) and good teams are in short supply.

Hes actually using Chakra armor... Its a set of armor thats got 3 slots in each piece, and has 32 defence if i remember correctly. And wearing it makes it look like your not wearing anything at all.

@pauliazz94 I think it may have been an ancient potion, but i'm not sure. It restores full health and stamina, and you get it by combining a kelbi horn and an imunizer.
