amazing work, very very nice final product. One question: where did you get the original scan (and wich resolution you use it) for side images?. I'd like to make my own "final fight" cabinet but i got the upper marquee only and the cabinet.
You guys should use goggles and respirators when working with MDF, that fine dust that gets airborne when cutting through it is very hazardous for your health. It can cause debilitating lung problems in long term exposure. On topic, nice cab, it looks great.
@Stuntman175 I hear ya one the protection. For whatever reason when I was using the router I didnt.. I always have a mask on.. Thanks for looking out for us, and the compliment.
@bigpete405 No worries, I love watching these cabs getting made and that people still show some love to the arcades, wouldn't want those kind of people to go away because of not being safe. I would love to build my own, but for now, my financial situation doesn't allow it, better days will come I guess.
@Stuntman175 When money permits do it!! I had just as much fun building it as I do playing it. When you build it send me a youtube video.. I love watching other peoples methods as well.
@bigpete405 No prob, I'l probably will do a mini arcade cab just because I love all things small, I find them cute lol. But eventually, will make a bartop cabinet because I'm limited in terms of space in my room. I just wish MK9 was on PC so I could make a 2 player MK9 cab to play with my friends because I dislike Street Fighter.
this is pretty nice I love it. I am hoping to build my own arcade cabinet hopefully for mame i wish those arcade monitors wernt so expensive I am probably going to go with a 19in crt :P
Hey guys Awesome build on the arcade machine!!! I had a 4 player TMNT machine ages ago but sold it, now im looking to build a mame cab, my brothers a cab maker so that should come in handy, would love to know the mesurements and details on you project as it is awesome! thanks guys.
@TheLongbei This is a mame cabinet so it plays lots of different games. The red joystick on the top is a 4 way joy which is used for games like pac man and a list of others.
Very cool, but I've seen some really nice empty MK cabinets for like $200.. including a nice monitor... And I'll bet this took a crazy amount of time and money to build this. Not knocking you, just wondering if it was worth the effort in the long run.
VERY nice. Ok, I hate to be the critic here, but the "3" on the side art is off. I am sure you noticed though. I second Mysteriozone. Congrats. Looks great.
a thing of beauty
