My racist dad probably woulda beaten u senseless if u had done that Mr. Miller. Fortunatly, I don't share his brain-dead veiws. When at his house I wasn't even allowed 2 what anything that stared a black person or he'd yell. I shudder to think what he'd say if he knew I had black friends.
thks for sharing these VERY honest stories with everyone...its stories like these that help a person like me(who is from Canada) better understand the complex, beauitful, sad , sometimes tragic .....but also ,like your story shows, the redeeming and hopeful story that is the American South.
I lived in Southwest Missouri where life was similar. The Klan still burned crosses, although in secret, when I was a child. One radio station played Dixie before it played the Star Spangled Banner when it signed off. I know the kind of world you lived in. I praise you for standing up to the world you lived in.
Boy, if I had ignored something my grandpa or dad told me to do, I would have gotten a spanking. Good for you, Mr. Miller, for going against your grandpa's wishes and doing the right thing...even if it was considered 'wrong' back then.
This is a man who knows who he is and is not afraid to say so. If we had more straight talking people who are not afraid to speak teir truth despite "political correctness" perhaps the world would be a better place.
How can I be racist? I always watch interracial porn.

@Gahuki44 You're right. There were many fights afterwards, but none hurt like the words of my grandfather.
