The Stag 8L has carbine handguards. However I do not know if the Magpul MOE Handguards would fit on the Stag since it is a piston gun. Stag may be different but I know that a lot of the piston guns in the beginning were not compatible with regular handguards. Most of the time people had to modify them to get them on the piston guns. Good Luck.
Discovered the secret to handguard wobble. Small strips of electrical tape around wear the barrel nut and d-ring hold the back of hand guards. Do the same thing in the front and no more wobble.
Hey bro, thx for the video. My first try had me scratching my head. I was like, "I'm not sure if these will fit. Then you were all, "The part with the ears go forward. "No shit...." Bam. Snapped right on.
@guitargamer57 You can put a set of 1913 polymer picatinny rails directly into the 2, 6, and 8 slots. Or Magpul also makes a MOE Vertical Grip that goes directly into the 6 slots without a rail.
I just bought Magpul's XTM panels for some comfort holding my rifle as I don't add anything to my rails but I think I'll get this later to change the looks up a bit.
After ALL of the pros you list, not once did I hear you say that you can attach rail sections to it. The only reason people would buy these over the standard CAR handguards are for the polymer rail insert. It's a nice touch for those that don't hang 10 lbs worth of lights/lasers on their rig.
This video was an installation video. I covered the rails in my "Magpul MOE Hand Guard Review" video. I would also disagree about the rails being the only reason to buy the Magpul MOE HG. They are a much better fit and much more comfortable than the CAR HG. That is the reason most people like myself replace the CAR HG for the MOE HG. You also can get the rails for the CAR HG as well, but you are limited with only top or bottom mounting.
i have a sr22 ruger i installed a free float tube i want to install plastic handguards how do i do it my quad rail just clamped onto the reciever thread i guess on a ar its the delta ring someone please help me my rifle weights 10 pounds
Troubleshoot: @TheManFromAlaska: What am I doing wrong? There's a space in front on the lower frame of my handguard...Any thoughts? **Update. I found the problem...the top frame was not put in properly. Thank you!**
Glad you figured it out. These are a little more trouble to mount than standard handguards, but are much nicer. They fit with little to no play on my experiance, which is great.
I just put one of these on my AR15 and I love it. I bought it at a gun show in San Diego. I really wanted black, but that seems to be a popular color, so I opted for the OD Green which looks fantastic. Great product and excellent video!
Yep I would agree with you. I need to get some different color fabric from Walmart to make backgrounds. That way I can select colors based on need. Thanks
You need a front gas block that has the handguard cap on it. The most common is the standard A2 Front Sight Gas Block. What you are referring to as the triangular shaped front sight. You can also fit the handguard cap to other gas blocks with a little fitting. This is pretty easy with most gas blocks. Take care. -- TMFA
I understand as I am well informed on all classifications of firearms. I was referring to "grenade launchers" indicating lethal use. The more common civilian version launcher is 37mm for flares. Manufacturers also make an adapter for the 40mm that allows you to use 12 gauge shells for door breeching/ close quarters combat as well.
you CAN own a 40mm, basically its a NFA item, its considered a DESTRUCTIVE device and you have to pay a tax and lots of paperwork. also just like a full auto expensive as crap
THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH!!!!! i couldnt get mine on it turns out i had it backwards youre vid helped me soo much.

I was already mostly certain I was going to upgrade to the MOE handguard. Your video helped reassure the decision. Thanks for posting.

I got the MOE and a few rails, but it actually wouldn't fit with my barrel and the side rails. Is it because I have a heavy barrel?

Actually to own a M203 you just have to be 18+ it is a "flare launcher" the only thing that's restricted is the 40mm grenade ammo for the M203.
