I like Ezio and yeah his character is shown with more depth but that's why I prefer Altair cause we don't know as much about him he comes across to be more shady and to adds to the sneaky assassin persona and the fact the guy is just badass and always learns as he goes along and he pretty much paved the way for Ezio so I think Altair is the winner here :)

I vote ezio. Altair may be the best assassin ever, but ezio has more driving him. Altair had been doing it all his life, but ezio had a bigger arsenal and a bunch of faithful followers. Altair is outnumbred 10-1. He doesn't stand much of a chance with his guild being run into the ground. Ezio is easily the winner.

I say both. Altair came first and is admired by assassins long after he left. Including Ezio. But you have to agree Ezio's character has depth. If you watch the dialog and assassination styles of Ezio compared to Altair, Ezio depends on others quite often. He has said a few times in games that he "tires of all the sneaking and stabbing". Altair on the other hand is independent, and almost always sticks to the sneaking. And game wise, while AC2 may be a better game, I think Altair had the best assassinations and the 1st really did well to really vilify the targets.Because of this I can play the first over and over. AC2, not so much.

@2pacforever22 No. That was Desmond who had the dream. It was showing the beginning of Altair's line to Desmond. The lineage is about 800 or years years from Altair to Desmond. Ezio is only another ancestor of Desmond's. He just happens to be an assassin as well. I assume they will (or may already have) explained that Desmond is so far the best person to live out the lives of these assassin's because he has so many different bloodlines of various assassins.
