Great video. Can iMovie 09 download 1080i from your camera and upload it in 1080i to YouTube? Or do you have to process it differently save it in a folder and import it from a folder via YouTube's site upload? For your Sony do you record in HDFH or HDFH HD mode to get 1080 quality. I need to upgrade from iMovie 08 to 09 because 08 won't upload the full 1080 on my new Sony HDRcx550v. Thanks much.

Right when you plug in the camcorder and select the mode, a box should pop up in iMovie showing all the video clips on the memory card and if you want to import them.

Now that YouTube supports 720p videos. You can export the videos to 1280x720 and the quality will be amazing. All you have to do is add:

&fmt=22

to the end of the URL and the video will be in 720p HD.

Nice quality. What video file format and resolution did you use to upload your video to Youtube and about how long did the upload take? How large was your upload file? Just starting to upload high-def to Youtube with my Aiptek HD camera.

i didn't know youtube videos could look that good. I searched for your video because i might buy this sexy piece of cam. Have you tried editing the video yet? Is it a pain? do you need a mega monster of a machine to edit hd video?

Yeah, I was surprised with the quality as well. I use iMovie and Final Cut and with these programs its a snap to edit, no hassle at all. Also, you don't need an insane computer to edit it xD (I edit my videos on my MacBook and iMac).
