What is the Armenian name of Karabag? Because that name sounds Turkish or Azerbaijani. "Kara" means Black or Dark in Turkish - English tanslation and "bag" is grape yard. In English this is "Dark grape yard" If you say that place is a Armenian soil, there should be an original Armenian name for it. What is it?

@deeptuber109 The name is ARTSAKH. Armenians do use the word ARTSAKH but some still call it KARAPAGh. Many Turkish words still float around in Armenian.

As for the name of Karabakh, it first appeared in some Persian texts in the late 14th century after the descent of wild Turkish nomadic tribes. "Kara" is Turkish for Black; "Bakh" is Turkish for Garden. Devastated after one of the Turkish invasions, the country was called "Black garden".

We do have victories. Does Nagorno-Karabakh ring a bell? You probably do not know this but Armenia was very close to getting back Naxichevan before the ceasefire was declared. The whole geopolitics of the region has definitely shifted since 1990, so if there's any attack from the Azerbaijani side again, I'm certain that this time Armenia will either push more into the so-called fake Azerbaijan OR Armenia will push into Nakhichevan just what it had planned to do more than decade ago.

Just because Stalin was an ass and gave Karabakh to Azeris and was the cause of what's going on today, does not mean that Karabakh is Azerbaijan.

Do not forget that Karabakh Armenians know how to fight...it isn't just a gang of some punks with weapons in their hands calling themsleves an "army". These men know how to fight...they have been fighting for their existence for years! My point is that you can not expect some Azeri teenagers on drugs to win over an organized Army of Karabakh Armenians, who I might add are much older with more experience
