I used Standard Jund (Alara/Zen) in a Modern tourney this Sunday. I ended up in 3rd place. Its just a testament to how powerful Jund is. Hail to the King.

Makes me sad that U/W is lacking so much....

You cant really replace it, but i think putrefy is a better replacement than terminate.

Since you can kill artifacts

Honestly I really am not very impressed with LSV ever. Seems like he just likes to run the 'percentage' deck instead of making something unique or clever.

And ya I've been tempted into creating a Jund deck, but I hate the popular decks. So I think I'll stick with my Blue/Black life loss/control/discard vampire deck from hell.

Faeries and Jund are almost flawless decks because they can play two different types of games almost at once (aggro and control). I have no doubt id lose to lsv but every tournament id play everyone would use a jund deck that was an exact copy of this one. It got so routine i actually won a few times against it. Originality is best sometimes...
