People talking out of their a** need to educate themselves. It is a convertible M3, which is a disgrace because it weighs more than the E39 M3 (4100 lbs for the convertible M3). It should not even exist, but somehow BMW decided to make one.

A LOT lighter M3 sedan or coupe (they both weigh ~3600 lbs) would slap that E39 M3 silly without any shadow of a doubt.

There is a video of an E92 Coupe racing the E39 with SS exhaust and it was pretty close.

the E92 M3 is fast, they do have the advantage over the E39 in both weight and available gear ratio's, but it shows where torque really helps overcome everything else.

To karlmalone11 yes I agree with you HP makes the car fast too but if you dont have the torque...This race is pure example to you E92 M3 420 hp 300 lb/ft Torque vs E39 M5 with ECU is ~415hp 370 lb/ft ! E92 has 7 speed CLOSE RATIO DKG sounds good haa. The M3 is even with the E39 M5 at the top end speed only because of the close ratio trany. E39 M5 is hevyier car and pulled the M3( I think with a lot). If E39 M5 uses Dinan a litle bit shorter Differential say GOOD bye to the M3 even at top end.
