CD reviews constantly noted that nobody tries to be "like" Slash- the guitarists do their own thing. Buckethead & Ashba are extremely well-respected guitarists in the REAL world. :)

@jefryslash, hahaha! CD's sales are "disappointing" only from 1987 standards. Axl was disappointed in the record company's efforts, not in the album. he stood behind its content 100%. :)
CD's 5 million copies sold are a great boon. GNR's 2010 tour is doing fantastic, been on Billboard's Hot Tours list thrice already. Axl's been smiling wide in live shows loving every second of it. :)
meanwhile Scott Weiland & now Duff dumped VR. Slash's solo died at No 135 on Billboard. so whats reality, kid?

GNR simply carry on the layered tradition with 3 guitarists- it allows them to replicate the layered sound from the past & evolve into much greater complexity with the juxtaposition of different styles.
CD reviews constantly noted that nobody tries to be "like" Slash- the guitarists do their own thing. Buckethead & Ashba are extremely well-respected guitarists in the REAL world. :)

GNR always had multiple guitar tracks on UYI songs, ignoramus. Slash played lead & rhythm, izzy played rhythm.
GNR is simply continuing the multiple, layered approach with 3 guitarists.
haha! Buckethead is a solo artist & he simply returned to being one. :) Scott weiland dumped VR, Duff did too. Snakepit died miserably. haha!

Slash abandoned ship when Nirvana & grunge got bigger than GNR. Axl got legal ownership of the GNR name, fair & square. he'll use it all he wants. :)

Izzy quit in 1991 citing Slash & Duff's ridiculous substance abuse- he was clean & he couldnt be around such behaviour. he called out Slash for leaving syringes & heroin in his closet when he was in rehab & on probation. Duff quit becos he was having a baby.
