Jaap Eggermont (producer of most Stars on 45) was inspired by the original mix  Lets do it in the 80s, very cheap imho....

On the Stars on Long Play II album sold in the U.S., This was called Introductions. This version has more than what the album had.

@Brian1702 Yes, there is a part III. The US copy of the LP I have features a mix of Rolling Stones (side 1) and Stevie Wonder (side 2) cover songs.

PART 1:

#1 from 00:00 to 00:15 is the "Theme from Star Wars" and not S.O. 45!

In 1981 they copied the original authentic, though highly illegal, Beatles Mix (1980-yes, the original was a REAL BEATLES mix from all authentic BEATLES songs!) and made it their own by singing it themselves so they couldn't be sued for Copyright infringement.

PART 2:

Never been a big Beatles fan, and back in the day when the illegal mix came out a classmate from the Restaurant School I attended in The Netherlands asked me to get him a copy, since I was always buying the good stuff. So I did, and gave it to him. He was quite happy! I had no interest in it though. Still don't. S.O 45 sounds nice though, but nothing like the REAL mix!

I don't know exactly too, but it seems to be a series of studio remixing from the best hits of the 70's.
