@firstrambo3000 look, i think that if u feed an alive mouse or any animal u have more of a chance to get bit. i would feed ur snake frozen then thaw with warm water. i know that they put on a show with the alive food but something that u swing in front of thier head is not going to confuse them for ur hand let me know if i helped!

Oh and, is sand ok for leopard geckos? Or will they ingest it by accident. If they do ingest it will it be harmful?

@MinecraftTNTChick Sand is not okay for leopard geckos. It will eventually cause impaction (which can be deadly), as they lick things frequently. If you have questions abot leos I would check out geckoforums. net

@Skittywolf Harley is a western hognose that they had bought from bhb reptiles.com, this snake is mildly venomous... do not let the word venomous bug you, the venom is rarely ever going to cause any reaction at all (they barley ever bit and if they did than you would have to stick your finger in their mouth like an inch deep to reach the rear teeth that produce the venom.

what i do if i get a new snake,is get a live rat,try to make it stimulated with it by putting the rat in a hamsterball,if the snake does strike at the ball,then i pre kill it,thats what I do with my new snakes,but most my others eat ANYTHING i give it,once i had a mouse,and it ate another mouse's head.....(dont blame me i just had them in a temporary box)and my snake chowed it down in no time(ball python btw)

the gross pictures are because the owner didn't use reptile healing aid. i have feed live to all my snakes for 2 year and only had 2 minor bites from mice, which quickly healed up when i put the healing aid on.
