Time passes so quickly, Im 55 and i can remember Hot Chocolate on Top Of The Pops and me saying to my dad 'oh isnt he lovley dad' and my dad saying 'whats lovley about him' i used to love all their songs brings back lovley memories each time i hear any of their songs , they were lovley days , thanks for postin.

Always takes me back to being a kid hanging around outside the local pub ( not dangerous to do in them days) in what always seemed to be hot summer afternoons. The juke box playing inside the pub & always seemed to be playing this song, sneaking a look inside whenever anybody came out or went in. Wow, this song is like instant funk. I love that muffled bass and those rich background vocals...and the hot chocolate is much better with the white marshmallows. I was bedazzled about Russ Ballard writing this. I liked his rock and bought a few of his albums back in the 80s. I had no idea his songwriting was so diverse.

As for backgrounds, it DOES seem that in the 1970s, things tended to be earth-toned, in the 1960s and the advent of colour TV, people often wore yellow, and in the 1980s, it was "silver". These days, it seems to be reds and blacks...
