They really screwed up He-man but to be honest, they screwed with He-man back in the late 80s too when they gave his action figure a makeover and turned him into Dolph Lundgren.
I disagree on the Ghostbuster and He-man, since the extreme ghostbuster are a continuation of the story, and wasn't bad at all. And the new he-man at least gives place for a secret identity.

Extreme Ghostbusters was not a remake of The Real Ghostbusters, it was a continuation of the cartoon. And, Transformers Animated was part of the Transformers Universe

They are also robots. For that case you could also say that they are promoting the idea to kids that you can shove a key into you and heal yourself. Be a little realistic

Ah, my childhood memories have just been raped. What was that "He-boy" business, what the hell have they done to poor Cringer and most of all wth have they done to He-Man's voice??? The artist from "Ghost in the Shell", "Bionic 6", "Centurions"....ANY of them are more detailed oreinted enough to relay the movie to animation concepts well enough to NOT drop off where the movie did.

So the re-makes of classics are also a way for the younger generation to get into the "classics"

Ah, my childhood memories have just been raped. What was that "He-boy" business, what the hell have they done to poor Cringer and most of all wth have they done to He-Man's voice??? That was the best part of He-man, hearing him savagely scream "By the power of Grey Scull...I have the POWEEEERRR!" in that voice. I lived for that moment in every episode because you knew he was about to kick some serious butt.

the only acceptable transformers remake was "transformers: animated series " but NOW theres a new crap coming in 2008. At least they didn't make "ultimate rescue heroes" or "wild C.A.T.S: Unlimited" or some shit like that.

I'm not up on action cartoon, but I can say I am a total "originals" advocate! I hate most movie remakes, TV show remakes, etc. Nothing beats the original of anything good I think.
