@labeeb241 Sonu is at this moment the only popular singer that can sing with much emotion and feeling. He just decided not to do it in this song. He wanted to sing this pure with powerplay and perfectionism. And he succeeded in that, and we love it. The only arguments u can give is ''u cant accept it about your favourite singer''.

However, i'm just talking about the silly comparison with your local singer. I'm not gonna get involved in the discussion about the great Rafi himself.

@rafahenara I agree with your first statement. I am not putting that singer in front of Sonu like a champion but only for this particular song in which i felt Sonu did not bother about the feel it required and he tried to reach the vocal and tonal of Rafi sb. instead.

It's right that he didn't bother to put a feel in it, cause that's not what this song is about. That should be in other songs, not in this one. And i like it much more without feel. This is only the type of song to sing with power and perfectionism. Only then it sounds good.

@rafahenara Here is a performance of a non popular singer who despite acoustic limitations sung it better than Sonu, look i myself like Sonu more than others, but his limitations are his limitations. He has sung many songs of Rafi sahab good enough. And in many other songs he tried to copy voice and missed soul.

And yes its the truth no one can put the voice, surr, taal, feel, expression,octave, rendition and accent at the level where Rafi sahab had.

If you listen to the original, the very first word "Bhagwaan" has so much emotion and depth. It touches your heart right away. This is still a good reproduction and a tribute to the maestro Rafi saab.
