Cheburashka Song

My sister and I were both adopted. I from Houston and she from a little town 1000 miles east of Moscow. When she came to the States, she was 3 (and I only a few months) and spoke no English (not to mention petrified of English speakers). A family friend, who was also from Russia, gave us a 5 hour long tape of Russian cartoons. Cheburashka was quite literally the soundtrack of my childhood.

Is it just me who cries when I hear this song? It's just such a strong memory from my childhood and it reminds me so much of my grandmother who passed away about three years ago. It's amazing how a song can trigger such emotion...

It's a bittersweet, I'd believe.
