i miss this beck.

i personally do not like the new beck with the long hair and all.

there are good songs and bad songs in his new albums and his old ones. Guero is my personal favorite, but i dont really have any jugement against the hair. his vocals only sometimes sound strained. i dont know... old age?

I initially thought Guero was a little too... I dunno. It's just what the mainstream would expect of Beck, I guess, and that was something that hadn't happened before. But after the last two albums, I really appreciate Guero a lot more. The songwriting was still solid, at the least. I don't think he's lost it, but I couldn't get into about half of The Information and only a couple songs off of Modern Guitl.

This is from a radio show Beck did in 2005 called "Morning Becomes Eclectic". The only two songs I don't have up are Scarecrow and Que Onda Guero. I lost the rip I have of this show so I won't be able to upload them. I'm sure you can find this show somewhere on the internet.
