1- On Canadian TV, Kevin seems to be Canadian - as the 0:13 map on the TV version here in Toronto just showed his home to ba "Canada" instead of Austin, TX.

2- So where is he really from? Microsoft just lies and uses the same ads in the sake of saving a few marketing $ ?

@timtwoface I know, i'm in marketing myself - It's only that his nationality and homeland were especially emphasized in the ad; and with youtube AND u.s. channels being readily available in canada, it just makes the agency/company look stupid (or seem like they think that the viewers are ignorant). Oh well, at least they recently fixed the "missing province" issue with the Canadian map. What a total blunder!! :) (p.s. i live in canada but im not canadian)

I actually like Windows 7 though. Especially that search box you can type in to find any file you want. That saves me plenty of time. Funny it took them many decades though

@sevensilver1 yeah, they put it somewhere in wmp 11/12, and you can share your media around the network, and it comes with a VPN built in. if you take the time (not a lot of time) to set that all up, your good to go.

What I don't get is how Windows fails at every commercial they've done for 7.

Oh, I'm Canadian. We see the Canadian version - somehow, they seem to think it's 1948 and Newfoundland still isn't part of the country, along with some other islands in the North.

Throw on top that the commericals just aren't that funny, you've got a pretty weak marketing campaign.

Actually, the commercials are meant to be more practical than funny. Yeah, I see they're trying to add a little funny into the ad with the flashback sequence. Ultimately however, the commercials are meant to signify the ease of use of windows 7, which they usually end up doing. How is that weak marketing? Well, unless you're just counting the Non US versions of the commercials.

@MrBitechify Yeah, I dunno if you actually have, like, used Windows 7 by now, but there's a feature called Homegroup which allows file transferring and sharing between all computers linked within your personal Homegroup. You just have to set it all up beforehand, giving permission, etc. It's not all that terribly complicated.

@Phantomangel042 Actually thats not at all how this is working, homegroups is a whole different feature disigned to work on a closed network. Streaming the content from your Home pc to say your laptop on the other side of the world is no longer homegroup, its using windows ID and a whole lot of setup which Microsoft is forgeting to tell anyone about. And along with most of these recent "Der Herp Der Windows 7 Was My Idea" commercials, its things no one actually realised existed.

Uninstall the faulty audio driver, restart my laptop, then logon.

After that, windows says "Unknow device found, searching for software" or something, and then says "Installing Software" or something similar (i cant quite remember). After that, it still doesent work.
