RIP Mr. Pickledish. 5/30/2010 its been a year.. I hope your lifting 3 whites, and your voicing all of gods Commercials... And your watching over my sister and I
I listened to his song over and over; drove my folks nuts saying, "Ribbit!" (or was that "knee deep?). He inspired my friend to attend disc jockey school in CA. Some years ago he and I struck up a brief correspondence via email (pre Facebook!). He found out i was a cartoonist and he asked if I could draw him lifting weights, or body building, or something. He said he liked the drawing! Yay! He also told me his career included many character voices for anime cartoons. Great guy!
I heard this on the radio ONE time in the 60s and hunted high and low for it but could NEVER find it....until now! This is my first time hearing my elusive frog since then!
I heard this on KDWB - Channel 63 in Minnesota on my Realtone Duke 6 transistor radio that came with a leather case. That was my handheld AM radio with a two inch speaker. We didn't know what FM stereo was. (1966)
@zachdanasmith whoops! sorry,no disrespect intended. i'm not sure where i got david. i've heard dr. demento say his name so many times i'm surprised i made that mistake. i've always loved your father's off the wall humor. we need more people like him in the world today.
So, someone else has heard of this record, too?!? One of my favorites, if your copy has "It's Warts On The Flipside That Counts" on the B side, check it out, if it doesn't, send me a message...

I played this in the late 70's when I was a rebellious night-time Top 40 DJ.

Used to play this on a 'Classic Rock' station in Philly I jocked at in the late sixties. It was always a hit.
