@InaTeDg2 He uses Mesa Dual Rectifier amps setted in the Vintage mode (idk how the pots are setted up) plus Les Paul guitars with Alnico II humbuckers. By knowing this:

You can get that fatty rounded kind of tone al least you need a tube sounding distortion (Marshall or Mesa like) modeled in the right way (put some mids in it), a mahogany guitar and alnico humbucking p-ups.

Try with some emulation software to get some input, i'm using Overloud TH2 right now, IMO the best amp emulator ever!

in my opinion, slash is ireiplacable, and is one of my all time favourite guitarists.

Ashba is an amazing guitarist and is kinda like a younger slash but with more style.

He sounds like slash because he uses the same pickups as him and i actually really, really like Ashba.

I liked Dj Ashba...Glad hes in the band. But NO WAY IN HELL he can even be compared to a Legend like Slash. Slash was on another level. The way he infused blues rock, and hit those beautiufl clean solos was unreal. In my opinion one of if not the best ever. Guns will never be what it was because it doesnt have Slash and the Guns sound. But anyband with Axl Rose can become as big as anyband ever. One of the best songwriters out there. @AxlRemix oh i do play guitar. And i know for sure that Slash is among the best. Reason: His creativity within blues and rock together, he uses harmonics and pentatonics together like no one before, and he has a special style, hitting notes in a lick no one else would. He has feeling, now what "feeling" means is that this guy, with his soloing can make you restless because you need to think about the melody one more time again and again. And then how you get goosebumps from his amazing work.

I was just wandering when will Axl start hiering pros. No offence but this guy is a total mediocrity. His guitar playing sucks. I guess he's tone deaf or something. He's out of tune in almost all the songs. Slash wasn't any better but at least all GN'R solos were composed by him. Slash has a good feeling of melody even though his old GN'R live performances were quite bad.

Sure Ashba is good... But how someone can say that he actually gets better off than Slash is completely unclear to me... I mean Slash is legend, he is still a legend and still the best guitarist out there, just looking at the guy makes me remember the great and amazing stuff he's made and it really tells me: Slash is still the much more appreciated guitarist. I mean listen to this "Ballad of Death" (Cheesy name xS) and then listen to the solo Slash plays in Tokyo '92. Slash has much more feeling

I dont get it...why compare the 2??? why not just say they are both AMAZING...they're also very different, so its hard to tell which ones better. They both rock! and thats it! Here's the thing, getting over Slash is not easy but i listened to this guy 5 times and now i am writing this that this guy can actually redeem himself better than Slash. I could be wrong but he has the props, i am not a very tattoo guy but its ok as long as he keeps on coming up with stuff like this. Listened to the other song you uploaded 'This is Love' and i have to say, GNR has finally got the right guitarist after Slash...hated Buckethead, didn't make any sense to the band at all.

He had a good flow to it...I do enjoy this guy alot though... Hes pro at his style definitely... They definitely found their selves a decent guitarist.

I guess i am way too much attached to the GNR line-up which lasted up until 1994 which is why it was and still is really hard for me to imagine anyone else taking place of that line-up. If someone has to then he has to be REALLY good by all means possible. I guess i am still living in the late 80s and early 90s...that time really rocked but then came Nirvana :(

Clearly, you didn't understand what i said. Buckethead is to professional, hence he's lacking feeling. He has one of the best guitar techniques in the world, but he's still so much under Slash and Ashba in feeling, which is why he could never fit in Guns. Guns is all about feeling.

@GetInTheRing99 I so agree with everything you wrote. I was very skeptical of this guy. I labelled him a 'Slash' wanabee loser, until I saw him perform live. Took less than half a song to win me over. The guy is amazingly talented.
